Now that is funny.

Do you think Trump should be granted immunity for fomenting a riot? Like he is arguing in court?

Nazi was abbreviation for National Socialism, but that which opposed liberalism and promoted very vocal and targeted prejudice of a group by race and promoted and elite sub group of the population. There was a very deliberate censoring of media and a very strong opposition to capitalism.

if either party is supposed to be upholding all those ideals, they are doing it wrong, thankfully. There are certainly elements of the above found on both sides of the aisle.

Please look up the 14 signs of fascism as explained in our national holocaust museum . It pretty much the GOP MAGA playbook .

Powerful and continuing nationalism

Disdain for human rights

Identification of enemies as a unifying cause

Supremacy of the military

Rampant sexism

Controlled mass media

Obsession with national security

Religion and government intertwined

Corporate power protected

Labor [sic] power suppressed

Disdain for intellectuals & the arts

Obsession with crime & punishment

Rampant cronyism & corruption

Fraudulent elections

there’s only one path to fascism in a democratic republic, and it’s through socialism.  The majority of the items above are seen in the Democratic Party today COMBINED with an obsession with an all powerful central government. That was the Hitler Mussolini Stalin playbook.  We’re kind of lucky fdr didn’t take the us down the same path. He tried.

This is 100% incorrect. Nazis were NOT socialists. NAZIS HATED SOCIALISTS you freak. Read a f'n history book.

Remember when you told us Nazis were socialists because they had the socialist in their name: National Socialist German Workers’ Party.

Hitler’s racist nationalism to socialist rhetoric that appealed to the suffering lower middle classes <-- SOUND FAMILIAR?

Why is Trump fighting so hard for total immunity?

These idiots NEVER ever think.

Nazis were NATIONAL socialists…They hated the Soviet socialists because both were competing for dominance over Europe…

Socialism isn’t a “1 size fits all”…it manifests in many different forms, and adapts to the culture in which it was formed…👍

That’s like me hating communists, but calling myself a communist anyway…Nazis hated anyone who wasn’t in agreement with the Third Reich agenda, regardless of if they were socialist or not……So, of course they would hate some socialists…They hated capitalists too…Read a book…😉

Like I said before, socialism takes on many different forms, depending on the culture…They will share similarities because, ultimately, it is still socialism…But different countries will also embrace ideas that sets their brand of socialism apart- just like not all capitalism is the same…👍

The point is that nazism didn’t go thru socialism to get to fascism, now did it?  Yes or no?  The most descriptive ism for nazisms rise is “populism” which is also the MAGA trajectory

No - it does not.

Stop reading propaganda and read a history book prior to 2015.

It’s understandable that MAGA doesn’t like being associated w Hitler and Nazis - but there is no denying that your party is comprised of white nationalist, white supremacists with one true goal: totalitarian power

Why else does Trump want total immunity?

The Hitler debate is so tiring…

If we are being honest with ourselves, yes, we know the Nazis were nationalists, so they would have something in common with nationalists all over the globe, in some form or another…(This is likely what you’re referring to when you reference MAGA).

However, where the Nazis differ from MAGA was their socialist views on private property…

https://mises.org/wire/hitlers-views-private-property-and-nationalization

“For Hitler the formal maintenance of private ownership was not important. When the state has the unrestricted right to determine the decisions of the owners of the means of production, then the formal legal institution of private ownership no longer means very much. This is what Pollock is saying when he establishes a “destruction of all of the essential traits of private ownership” with one exception. The moment the owners of the means of production can no longer freely decide the content, timing, and size of their investments, the essential characteristics of private ownership have been abolished, even if the formal guarantee of private ownership still remains.”
