RE and LE are different positions and can be even more so depending on the defensive scheme. Addison has always played the right side. He admits that he’s MUCH more comfortable there. Yes, he will be playing some LE for us (mostly in obvious passing downs imo), but I expect Addison or be playing RE when Jerry is rotated out. in mcDs scheme, I expect Murphy, Epenesa, Johnson and Jefferson to be playing LE. We shall see. I hope to see jerry and Mario out there together, but I don’t think seeing them out there together is going to be the norm on 1st and 2nd down. edit: to answer your question, yes, I would think it was odd if our Incumbent starters and best DE and 3tech DT weren’t starting.
