Finally a good thing that there is “nothing to do in Buffalo” with new “high risk conduct” Covid rules

Better restaurants, better nightclubs, usually more museums... and the higher price tags to go along with all that.

I’d put buffalo’s restaurants per capita against any City in country.

Buffalo definitely loses in terms of nightclubs and while there are attractive girls (Buffalo is way better than Pittsburgh and Boston per capita), it cant compete with the thot numbers of Miami, LA, and NYC.

I'm going to sound very naive but that's ok. Never lived in a big city, so I might be missing something. So the super big cities what do they have that you can't do in any regular sized city. With the exception of national landmarks/famous things (ie: vegas-the casinos, nyc-timesquare, etc), what is missing? Since someone mentioned him, what was not in Buffalo that Jordan Matthew was missing out on that forced him to focus on at home activities? Perhaps I live a sheltered life, but when players say there's nothing to do, what are they really talking about? Is it code for something?

It is code for "If you want me to play well you need to pay me more."

lol Pittsburgh is the weirdest night life city I have ever seen. In circa 2000 it had the Highest per capita concentration of mullets wearing nightclubbers I’ve even seen.

Challenge flag on way better than Boston per anything though

Buffalo isn't NYC. (I lived in NYC for five years) but the 'nothing to do there' attitude regarding Buffalo, is misguided, at best..

I agree with that bit. Lazy narrative. Seems like the ones looking for action spend the summer in Miami, which certainly has lots of “something to do.”

In the end for the job these guys have, You’d think extra curricular opportunities would be The last thing on their minds.

Boston’s women are terrible.  I’ve never seen a big city with less attractive women.  The only thing that saves it is it’s bigger than Buffalo.  And I say this as someone who has had a lot of fun nights in boston.  But attractive women is not their strength.

I've accurately had between 150-175 of them at Applebees in my lifetime.

I'm 38 and some people say I could pass as 35-36....I attribute that to a plethora of Applebees Philly Cheese steaks I've consumed.

you've been to an applebees over 100 times?

Pure heathenism.

Applebees. Cheesesteak.

I feel like one of those angry french people getting all bent out of shape over Italian bread.

My first ever job was at Applebees as a waiter.  I would order it pretty much every day because I have a good palate.

If you would give it a chance, you wouldn't go back.

Buffalo has a lot of very good eats, though they can be quite spread out and even hard to know about. Buffalo has the best sushi I've ever had (Kuni's) the best Sandwich I've ever had (Desi's), the best Chicken wing (nine eleven), the best breakfast (Nick's Place), the best margarita (Cantina Loco) and some other assorted big wins like really great Vietnamese at Dollar Pho on Grant Street. However, there isn't a lot of depth there outside of the pizza/wings category. I've been quite unimpressed with higher end or even your traditional upscale  New American dining in Buffalo, but then again we didn't have an opportunity to try all that much last we lived there.

I hung out in Boston in the early '70's, and attractive college age women were abundant.

I had 'good luck' perusing the Mass. Ave/Cambridge bar scene, back in those more permissive times. I was last back there 20 years ago.

yeah college-aged.  They were all probably from other areas! ;)

I always thought it was funny that buffalo gets criticized for nothing to do, but I live outside DC, and while it’s bigger, I don’t know what we can do here that can’t be done in buffalo? To me, the only knock would be weather (I’d prefer buffalo to DC) and exposure on national tv? Otherwise, what’s buffalo missing?

Yeah that was a comment by lunkhead Willis McGahee who was a 24 yr old punk that thought nightclubs in big cities were the only thing that qualified as something to do.

He has 10 kids with 8 different women now (not kidding) so now he has nothing to do but go broke.
