Seattle will move to dismantle 'CHOP' zone after shootings, mayor says

by Louis Casiano

Original Article

Seattle will move to end the police-free zone known as the "Capitol Hill Organized Protest," or "CHOP," after two recent shootings, one of which was deadly, Mayor Jenny Durkan announced Monday -- signaling that a stunning chapter in the city's history could be drawing to a close. The mayor said the violence was distracting from changes sought by thousands of peaceful protesters seeking to address racial inequity and police brutality.

I'm still SMH at the irony and massive failure of CHOP.  Not even a week into it and this misguided belief that cops are the ones killing black people blows up in their faces.  And yet, few on the left are talking about this.

They don't care to talk about it.

The disbanding of CHOP will be a win win for the left. If the Mayor can convince them to just leave, then the headlines will be about how they really were just rational, peaceful people being villainized by the right. If they refuse to leave and violence erupts when the police have to physically move them out, then the headlines will be about police brutality against peaceful protesters.

They can (and probably will) spin it however they want, but the fact remains that not only could they not last a week without someone being killed, someone black no less, the lack of police probably led to the victim's death.  That's a massive loss as it disproved everything they believed.

AND the slam poetry unit!?!?!?!

Bringing out the full force of the man?!?!?  That seems disproportionate.  They only killed ONE person; the interpretive dance team should be able to get this done with some help from the social workers.

I thought California was the land of wackos, but Seattle has passed them. If this isn't stopped soon, it'll happen in other cities too.

Portland, Oregon and Seattle are filled with leftist wingnuts.

#EMSLivesMatter

We don't have to look back far in time or distance to find out why EMS and FD won't go into a live situation.

I recall this incident clearly. Webster is a lakeside suburban town and village of Rochester, NY

Summary 4 FD shot, 2 killed

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2012/12/24/webster-new-york-firefighter-shot/1788917/

Attributed to USA Today:

"WEBSTER, N.Y. — A gunman ambushed firefighters at a house fire in the Rochester suburb of Webster, N.Y., early Monday, killing two firemen and injuring two others before killing himself on a Lake Ontario beach.

Seven homes were destroyed as firefighters waited for police to secure the scene.

The gunman, who shot himself at the scene, was identified as 62-year-old William Spengler. He was charged in 1980 with beating his 92-year-old grandmother to death with a hammer in her home next door.

Spengler served 17 years in New York State prison on manslaughter charges, police officials said. He was on probation until 2006 and reportedly had lived quietly with his mother, who died in October, and sister at 191 Lake Road, along a sliver of land between Irondequoit Bay and the lake."

I can see 'The Big Switch' is already happening in CHAZ/CHOP/CHOAD. It's like setting up a camp within a society, or a ghetto run by a political ideology....

that should end well.....
