Oregon State Police say trooper’s hand gesture in viral video was innocuous
https://www.oregonlive.com/news/2020/07/oregon-state-police-say-troopers-hand-gesture-in-viral-video-was-innocuous.html
Doesn't stop them from pushing a narrative in the article:

"Use of the hand gesture to mean “white power” started as a hoax online, but has since been used earnestly,"
"But as the initial video circulated on social media Sunday, many took it as an opportunity to continue legitimate criticism of police in Oregon that has stemmed from several incidents"

J'ever wonder how Trump arranged for the covid virus to be spread across the world?  He prolly did it when the unemployment rate among minorities was dropping lower than it ever was during the "previous administration."

BODY CAMERAS HELP:

Police video of fatal shooting shows victim fired on cops.

Detroit police released the body camera video, along with another video from a squad car’s dashboard camera which showed officers fatally shooting 20-year-old Hakim Littleton after he pulled a pistol from his left pocket and opened fire.

Detroit police chief James Craig said he released the video hours after the incident to quell “a false narrative” that the shooting was unjustified. The “erroneous information that was put out has incited violence,” Craig said during a press conference at Public Safety Headquarters.

It’s as if inciting violence is a goal.

AMBUSHED: 2 slain police officers ‘never had a chance’ in Texas shooting, chief says.

Two police officers who were responding to a disturbance call were killed Saturday in a South Texas town after a suspect met the officers at the door and shot them, police say.

The shooting happened so quickly that “our officers did not draw their weapons, did not fire, never stood a chance – never had a chance,” McAllen, Texas, Police Chief Victor Rodriguez said in a statement to the media.

The police department learned about the fatal shooting when other officers stopped by the scene to do a routine check, Rodriguez said.

The officers were responding to reports of a violent disturbance, Rodriguez said. “They were doing their job. That is what we are supposed to do.”

The officers approached the door of the residence after meeting people outside the house who reported that a disturbance or assaults were occurring inside, Rodriguez said.

Blue lives matter too, though it can be worth your job to say so some places, these days.

Added:  Know their names.

“The slain McAllen officers were identified as Edelmiro Garza, 45, and Ismael Chavez, 39.

By Travis Fedschun | Fox News

A crook looking for some dough got served up something else when trying to hold up a pizza shop in Delaware on Friday.

Delaware State Police said they are searching for a man who attempted to rob Stargate Pizza in Sussex County, and only fled after the owner flung pizza at him.

Officials said they received a call about the incident in Greenwood at 10:30 p.m.

The owner told troopers that while he was closing his business for the night, a man with a machete approached him and demanded money.
