The current United States Trade Representative.

The Secretary of Commerce

the Secretary of the Treasury

the Director of the United States National Economic Council.

and President Trump's Chief of Staff

and his trusted  daughter and son-in-law.

Hell yes, they should be the Council to re-open America.

The Public health are on the Coronavirus Response Team.

Did your "reader" step from the room ?

Yes.

I am sure that your experience with running meetings is limited.

The POTUS should have his Senior Advisor (as I am sure you know Jared is) and his daughter, who has worked with him for decades on the council along with the other experienced members that I mentioned.

Thats how leaders operate.

Your squirrel aside, the Economic recovery council is solid. Thats why any attempts to ridicule them fall flat, flat, flat........

We’re Going to Reopen Soon, and We Should

by Jim Talent

Original Article

No one should kid themselves. We’re not at the end of the COVID-19 epidemic. We’re not even at the beginning of the end. But to paraphrase Winston Churchill, we are approaching the end of the beginning; and that means the severe social distancing restrictions, which were imposed to achieve certain goals in the early stage of pandemic response, can and should be adjusted in recognition of our growing ability to deal with the disease in a more targeted way. As always, context is important. The extraordinary social distancing measures were designed to slow the spread of the virus. They were a hedge against the worst-case scenario

The South....well Alabama, Missouri, Louisiana, Arkansas certainly are exemplary at being the worst performing states in almost every economic metric as well as social metrics such as teenage pregnancy, education, poverty, etc....I am sure they will set the example for everyone else to follow!

END THE SHUTDOWNS! DO IT FOR THE CHILDREN

The United Nations warns that hundreds of thousands of children worldwide may die because of governments’ overreaction to the COVID-19 virus:

Hundreds of thousands of children could die this year due to the global economic downturn sparked by the coronavirus pandemic and tens of millions more could fall into extreme poverty as a result of the crisis, the United Nations warned on Thursday.
***
Compared with adults, children infected with the coronavirus are less likely to have symptoms and more likely to have a mild illness, U.S. and Chinese studies have found.

But the U.N. report warned that “economic hardship experienced by families as a result of the global economic downturn could result in an hundreds of thousands of additional child deaths in 2020, reversing the last 2 to 3 years of progress in reducing infant mortality within a single year.”

MINNESOTANS STAND UP FOR FREEDOM

How effective will the protest be? There is growing opposition to Minnesota’s shutdown order, which is virtually indefensible in view of the utter failure of the state’s model to conform to reality. Today Governor Walz relaxed his order in several respects, mainly having to do with outdoor activities–fishing, golf, public parks. We will see more of this in the days to come as pressure mounts.

well, that's a shot fires across the bow.

I won't be a bit surprised to see Pennsylvania's governor order the state police to stop any

protest from reaching Harrisburg or York, where he lives.

In the name of social distancing of course....

sure... just dial 311-692 and they'll get there right away. however, if your being robbed, mugged or possibly murdered, there will still be a 90 minute delay.

Trump calls protesters against stay-at-home orders 'very responsible'

Donald Trump has posted highly incendiary tweets stoking protests against physical distancing and other coronavirus stay-at-home measures in three states led by Democratic governors.

“LIBERATE MINNESOTA!” the US president wrote in capital letters on Friday. “LIBERATE MICHIGAN!”

He followed up with a third tweet: “LIBERATE VIRGINIA, and save your great 2nd Amendment. It is under siege!” – a reference to Virginia’s governor, Ralph Northam, last week signing into law new measures on gun control.

His latest provocative interventions followed demonstrations against stay-at-home orders in Michigan, Ohio, North Carolina, Virginia and other states that have drawn elements of the far right.

Some protesters have carried guns, waved Trump and Confederate flags and sought to frame the debate as a defence of constitutional freedoms. They have been egged on by conservative media hosts such as Fox News’s Jeanine Pirro, who said: “What happened in Lansing [Michigan] today, God bless them: it’s going to happen all over the country.”

As of 2020 there are 26 Republican  governors.  Hey go for it , lead the way back to normal
