So the real question is....

Recommended Posts

I was thinking last week that if this happened, for not taking Kenyatta Walker, we will have gotten Nate Clements, Travis Henry, Brandon Spoon and Kenyatta Walker. :D

Kenyatta seems to be alot like JJ, he can't play an entire season and he isn't a top LT. His upside could be better then Sheltons if McNally feels he can work with him

Walker's salary is considerably less then Sheltons but Walker also has 1 less year on his deal.

2005 2500000.00

2006 827500.00

Shelton looks a little more solid stat wise, but will cost us 3 mil a season and he is older.

But since we'd have to give up Henry for Walker I think you have to leave him out. Still not a bad deal though.

I actually thought I read somewhere that if we traded with the Bucs we would be getting Matt Stinchcomb and not Kenyatta Walker.

Isnt Stinchomb a Guard? I think we got plenty of those on roster, especially since the signing of Bennie Anderson to man the LG spot.

KW vs LJS = RJ vs DF

the correct answer is none of the above :D

i agree, it seems more likely that both Walker and Shelton will be released outright. If the Bills do want either, and that seems to be a big IF, we can sign them to a much cheaper deal than their current contracts.

I'd love to have Walker here. He seems to be a good guy and would make a strong Right Tackle (since we'll move MW to left)

Shelton, uhm... he'd make an ok backup.

Moving MW to LT would be a mistake. I mean, MW's strength is run blocking, and his weakness is he's not good at dealing with the speed rushers. DEs get smaller and quicker on the left side, where pass protection becomes more important.

Besides that, even if we needed a right tackle, Kenyatta Walker is not the answer.

Neither.  We're drafting Adam Terry or we'll get one of the centers & move Teague to LT.  If we trade with TB, I wouldn't be shocked if we ended up with Ronde Barber (who is talking holdout) & then traded Nate for a windfall from Washington.

I'd like to get Barber. As you can see his career potential stetches to, well.. to infinity. :D

The onliest thing is he'll stick up the bank here too.

Somehow, out of all the scenarios swirling about in the spring breeze, this one seems to have one of the more remote probablities of playing out.
