Hey everyone.  Last year we did a few mock drafts on here (a month before, no trades, weekend before) just for fun and to see how close we could get it.  Like everyone else, we were crap but we did get the Oliver pick right.  A few wanted to do a draft before the combine hype to see how much that changed the results, so I'm going to do one this week.  I also understand that Free Agency will affect how teams draft, but that's also the point to see how much things change.  Right now, I'm going to tentatively say we will start the draft on Wednesday morning, but if this takes off like some have in the past, it could be sooner or if everyone is on football hiatus, later.

Trades are allowed, but must be approved first.  Need to use the standard trade chart plus 10% value.  The Bills will be drafted by a TSW member, not sure who yet.  Please don't volunteer for them.

I'm going to insist on one thing being done a little different this year with the selection of teams.  I'm going to require a post count for certain teams because I personally believe they will carry a lot of weight in this years draft.  Those teams are the Lions, Giants, Dolphins, Panthers, and Eagles.  Between the race for Tua (which I believe will be a real thing) and the Bills pick, I can see these teams affecting the overall outcome of our draft.  Honestly, I believe the Patriots are going to make some noise this year with their trade-able comp picks and finally thinking about Brady's replacement, but I that's a guess.  @whatdrought @BuffaloHokie13

Since this is the first try this early and of the off-season, I expect some bumps.  As we will have 4 total Mock Drafts, how people "show-up" will dictate who gets selected for the final draft.

When it's your turn to draft, please use the following format:

With the 1st pick, the Bengals Select Joe Burrow, QB LSU.  The Redskins (@TSW Member) are on the clock and then a brief summary of why.

As I type all of this, I can see how much this has evolved in 3 years on here.  In any case, here are the available teams.  Please respond with 3 teams you are willing to GM for.  I will update who gets who as quickly as I can.  I tried to pull up last years thread but couldn't find it, so if you were a GM last year and I forgot, I apologize.

@Reed83HOF Better not mess this up... It's pretty simple. Next 5 first rounders, allen, Tre, and Ed for the first to pick Chase Young. You know what to do.

CeeDee Lamb - I have enough points to get the #7.

I might check in with the Chiefs and see if I can offer up Allen and Tre for Mahomes

Edit: Also we already signed Yannick, Chris Jones & Hooper in FA

@Virgil  thanks for doing this again.  I love it.  I'll take any team, or two teams if needed.

Eagles were just taken

You can both pick whoever you want

After watching the Super Bowl, I think Hooper is a must have for us.

Be prepared to trade ahead of Philly for your WR

I really think we will trade up to the mid teens, as it won’t cost much, and get one of them top 4 WR’s.  But wouldn’t be surprised to see an OLB or DE if someone falls.

I’m honestly just going to trust the process.

1000% agree with this.  I'd target Hooper or Henry as FA1.

Back to the draft, I'll take Jags, Seattle and/or Saints.  Whatever is needed.

Edge is huge as well and I would offer what it takes to get one in FA. I don't want to spoil things, but we will see how the board falls in the realms of possibility for a trade up. It will be fun to do this after the dust of the first & second rounds of FA fall.

Yeah, I think the QB movement is really going to impact a lot.  But also, the QB’s are old or erratic enough that I could teams still going for their rookie guy.

I don’t see the Bills using too much draft ammo to move up though, just because I think the talent is so deep at skill positions.

I would say they move up for a DE or OLB, but I think there’s really only 1 strong player at each spot and we can’t move up that high.

If you got those three in FA I might actually be okay moving up for a WR...

Jags are yours

I don't see OLB as a big need for us in RD1. A trade up is more about Edge and if a top 3 WR falls past the Raiders at 12. I see CB as a very distinct BPA if we stand pat & Shenault is gone before us. We always think QB movement is going to impact the draft, I don't see it too much at the top, but I am thinking NE will make a play if someone is there in the mid-round. I am envious of the Raiders & 'Phins options in the first round though - so many options

Curious to see how Beane plays his hand and I hope he is aggressive (& smart). We are not that far off.

I do think he will go big on pass rush in FA and what the board has suggested of cutting Kroft to sign Hooper at a $3 million differential is a no-brainer IMO. Obviously Greg Olsen is worth monitoring as well - since connecting those dots is really difficult.

For what it's worth, the Lions phone is charged up and ready to go. We're more than happy to take a blue chip player at three, but we don't hate moving back either. We'll be over here with a pencil in our ear, stuffing whatever refreshments available into our open gullets. HMU.

Also, I have two questions:

1- How many rounds is this?

2- How strict is the points gonna be, cause I could see some bidding wars happening and I am all about the free market.
