So let’s say you’re now the President. What would you recommend?

there is nothing to recommend now lol. America should have been on this from the start and enforced mask usage and strict lockdowns. we should have created a tracing system like south korea/germany/singapore did. instead our president came out and said "everything will be fine by Easter" and look what happened...

...good luck getting an answer.....they always attack and NEVER defend....asked the same question many times, adding if they could insert THEIR pick to replace Trump as the one to be leading the pandemic fight, the answer is....."crickets"......my expectation......CONSTRUCTIVE vs DESTRUCTIVE dialogue......YOU decide which one does NOT exist in their vocabulary (COUGH).....

Trump and his staff have handled this virus so poorly this question almost becomes pointless because anyone would have done a better job, literally anyone, republic or democrat. They would not have called the virus a hoax in February and played it off like it was a joke.

read this article.

maybe ...you know..doctors started to figure out better treatments and procedures.

Correct.

Pandemic should be over.

So the pandemic won't be.

Because we are home to some of the dumbest people on the face of the earth that dont understand data, statistics, logic, reason, math, economics, and common sense.

More of what we were talking about.

——

A study led by the La Jolla Institute detected T cells that reacted to SARS-CoV-2 in about half of stored blood samples collected between 2015 and 2018, suggesting that the immune system cells developed after previous infection with circulating common cold coronaviruses, and that they might help protect against the new virus.

"It is a potentially encouraging piece of evidence," Wherry said. ——-

FL Today:

14,000 new cases

156 deaths

Watching to see signs of it slowing at all compared to AZ. Magox had some county data that looked like some places had slowing. Overall, the state is not.

Haven’t gotten a chance to look into it but I do know that it was a data dump day of cases that were accumulated over the past 3-4 days.  I read it was a rather large data dump.

Percent positive rate is lower this week than last so I’m guessing that prevalency is beginning it’s crest.   Still a ways to go, Texas, Arizona and California as a whole all seem ahead of Florida.   But aside from Arizona, those three states are so large and the populations are somewhat spread out in different population zones, my hunch is that they won’t have it crushed and burnout like NY but will most likely trend lower on a less steep decline as what we saw with NY.

Again, George Carlin is proven smarter than St. Fauci.

Did oyu perhaps read the article? Even in CNN.." do not know how many deaths are from Covid as deaths always rise in the heat"...in Texas..have used for 1 day, but all well back inside now"

The fear mongering done through blatant headline junk focused on short attention spans of Americans is disturbing

You damn Trumpians just refuse to the see the truth!

I do miss Carlin's brand of standup.  As I get older, I agree with most of his takes.

If you go to Amazon prime, all of his HBO stand-up shows are there. If you watch in order you see how he changes and as he got older, he got angrier and angrier, but still funny as hell

FWIW, Worldometer had yesterday at 1001 deaths. Deaths are up 50% in the last 8 days. Bounced off the artificial 4th-of-July-assisted low of 515 that no one predicted (!) quickly.

Is the following article also fake news and fear mongering ?

Fort Worth Star-Telegram

As COVID-19 deaths fill morgues in Texas, officials ask for refrigerated trucks

Officials across Texas are planning for the worst, requesting refrigerated trucks as morgues near capacity due to coronavirus-related deaths.

In Bexar County, home to San Antonio, two refrigerated trucks are already prepared for use and three more are expected to be ready by the end of the week, KSAT reported. Each trailer can hold between 24 and 36 bodies.

The worst, dumbest of fear mongering.

Funerals are being postponed everywhere.  It says this in the article and we know this already.

Unless you manage to call the funeral a protest against systemic racism you might have to wait to bury a loved one.

1100 cases in NY today.

2nd most since June 6.

To the sane, this is not a problem.  To the sane we know there is absolutely nothing we can do about "cases!" unless you want no life for the next 6-12 months.  And get the entire world from India to Russia to Chile to all do the same thing.

But to the insane like Cuomo, NY will be back in their ridiculous phase 2 by the end of the month.

Can’t wait for all the smarmy NYers who have been shaming the red states to explain the inevitable resurgence.  “It’s the rural white NYers who may or may not have voted R in their lifetime.  We need to penalize them, take away even more rights. We’ll show those inbreds.”

It’s really not a big deal to wear masks everywhere, treat everyone like an infected piece of *****, and not be able to do anything normal all year, stop being selfish!!!

What's the positive test rate in NY as they may have increased testing.  At it's apex it was about 10k cases per day.
