The Next Pandemic: SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19

ALL the states that reopened "the right way" are seeing spikes.  It's called SCIENCE.  Which is fine and was always inevitable but brace yourselves for the worst politicking you've ever seen....unless you were and still are dumb enough to think we are going to eradicate it completely.

There was never hiding and "slow reopening" that was the "correct" approach.

Total dupes.

The biggest policy failure in history.

And now....note this down.....they're going to blame you for not wearing masks.  Its disgusting.

A TOTAL SHUTDOWN AT THE SAME TIME in a country of 50 SEPARATE COUNTRIES.  Not letting this thing run its course naturally.  Good luck trying to lock them down again in Michigan, Pa, Va, and everyone else not named Montana.

The NE should have went first and everyone live as normal until you actually had cases.  Then act.  IF YOU EVEN HAD TO AT ALL.

Whoever told Trump this one size fit all approach to a global pathogen should be locked up.  And the modelers that fed this to them should be shot.

BREAKING NEWS:

White House changes course and stops bashing Fauci.

Trump also said Peter Navarro went rouge on his hit job in the USA Today.  (right)

I can’t imagine why:

New Quinnipiac poll out today:

Trump is honest - 31%
Trump has good leadership skills - 35%
Trump cares about average American - 37%
Trust Trump 30% / Trust Fauci 67%

Handling of COVID - 35 approve/62 disapprove
Trump is hurting 62% rather than helping 31% contain the spread.

Overall approval - 36/60 - his worst since August 2017

A bit off topic, but probably the best piece of news I've seen in  a long time.

Fertility rate: 'Jaw-dropping' global crash in children being born

https://www.bbc.com/news/health-53409521

We have really ^%$#ed the joint up no need to bring more innocent kids into this mess.

Eh, just wait about 5 more months, and the birthrate will skyrocket.

Lol.  The last poll I saw had D plus 10.  D-38 R-28 I-34.  Nope.  Sorry.

Find me a poll in the 30-30-40 range and if these numbers pop up, then you'll have my attention.

I've seen several polls where the R's were at 24-26%.

Arizona should start seeing #s decline very soon.

If that indeed is the case then most certainly Phoenix is within that 15-20% burnout range which if the cresting signs are bearing out would be supportive of that.

File this in the “not within my circle of influence” category. I suspect society will navigate it just fine if it happens.

And Sweden has the highest % of people living alone of anyplace on earth. And they are more insular on top of that. Even with that, their fatality rate is much higher than ours.

Stockholm is a nice city and definitely the most American-feeling place in Europe (to me) in a lot of ways. I had a stretch where I went there on business a lot.
