Â Thursday Thanksgiving day games are different. Players seem to perform better. Maybe it's knowing it is an old NFL tradition and that multitudes of football fans who on a Sunday be watching elsewhere have all eyes on these games. Â Extending the NFL weekend from Sunday to Tuesday Night would make more sense.Teams would have 4 days to prepare for upcoming Sunday game rather than the three they get to prepare for a Thursday game and the league could continue to showcase the good teams competing for better games and ratings. Â Games on a Tuesday night sounds odd, but with better teams and on a major network and more revenue. Fans who show up on Thursday will show up on Tuesday, especially a premiere matchup. These every one plays Thursday seemed designed just to give the fledgling NFL network their own game in order to give their network credibility. That's small thinking.
