This obliterated several fantasy teams. Damien Williams was going in the 2nd round in fantasy drafts. Shady was in the 8th. Now they are sharing work to some extent but nobody knows how much. If you took Williams that high you are pissed.

Imagine if you took Williams and Luck. There have to be more than a few teams with that.

I had a draft last night and was able to get Devin Singletary in the 11th round ?

Regarding Shady, can someone explain why this was a money move for Buffalo that truly made sense this year?  I get that he was overpaid given the output.... but unless we were using that 6M to help bring in a big name player, why not just pay him?... get rid of Yeldon instead. (Id take Shady straight up over Yeldon).  We weren’t in cap trouble.. and he leaves next season.  Or is the explanation simply that Terry gets to save money?

The Chiefs will make the playoffs and then fold.  It’s Reid’s MO.

They have success since Reid arrived,  unlike Sean he understands that you have to throw the football to win in this league.  Our HC still thinks caveman football works,  we most likely would have had Mahomes had Sean not been our HC.   We have traded away talented players for low end picks,  this roster is very thin of any talent on offensive side of the ball.  You cannot win like that

So why not trade Shady instead of cutting him.  We got something for friggin Bodine, after all.

My theory is, since if he was traded the new team picks up his full salary, there weren't many takers for even a mid-round pick, and the Bills didn't want to embarrass him by trading him for a 6th or 7th.  So they cut him instead, which except for a paycut which shouldn't matter that much at this point in his career, puts him onto the best team in football.  I'm sure getting cut hurts for him, but he'll feel a lot happier right quick.

I will miss him.  He is not what he used to be, but what he used to be was really special.  The fourth best Bills RB of all time, which doesn't sound impressive, but that's after Simpson, Thomas, and Gilchrist.

They tried trading him but the salary was too much.  He signed for $3M on a one year deal.  According to McCoy, the Bills didn't offer a pay cut.  The Bills wanted to go a different direction.

I agree,  what good is it to have the money unless they were planning to use it,  cut that loser Murphy if you want to save money.  Murphy is a classic Beane signing,  high motor with limited skills and no other team wants.

You can’t win without defense either, and that’s what will happen with Reid.

We retooled our entire O line, brought in 4 new TEs and 2 veteran WRs.  Two new RBs.  And of course a young qB with great potential.  Yes we have to see how they do but it is really tiring to keep reading about how they did nothing for the offense.

Actually three new RBs.

Are you serious?  name one top 100 player we have on offensive side of football?  You can change the pieces but if they are still average talented guys then no much improvement

It is about how the team plays.  Julio Jones is a top ten player.  How did the Falcons do?

Yes, clearly our HC still thinks caveman football works...must be why the team spent $22M per year on pass catchers, traded up in the draft for a TE, and just cut their top RB.

I realize that you're here to criticize first, but just for fun, you might occasion to think about what you're saying.

Also, you might want to let NE know that the run-oriented model doesn't work. Maybe you can convince them that they did not, in fact, win the super bowl with it last year. Beating the pass happy Chiefs and Rams in the process.

Come on.  Enough already.  The two rookie TEs look just fine right now.

Oh and after Beasley catches 100 balls this year he and Allen are easily top 100 if you want to obsess over that.

Maybe they just thought he was shot.  Remove the name.  If the Bills had signed a 31 year old running back in free agency coming off a season where he averaged 3.2 ypc this board would have a lot to say.  If they gave him a contract worth 6 million the torches and pitchforks would be lined up outside Beane's door.

TE'S are garbage,  Beasley is ok but not much play making talent on offensive side of the football.
