The Bills have had a few UB players. There is a practice squad cornerback, Cam Lewis, from UB.

The running back, Patterson, reminds me of Singletary. But he's two years from the draft.

I would definitely bring Ladarius Mack in as a UDFA. He hasn't had the college career of his famous brother but he shows flashes. And more flashes later in his senior year. Could be a late bloomer.

That's probably all Mack could be is an undrafted free agent.

he isn't even the best pass rusher on the Bulls that's Taylor riggins.

He's good but he's borderline NFL talent

and I think his question was who is eligible this year that the bills could look at so that's why I didn't name a bunch of underclassmen

Promo, what a surprisingly nice season with a satisfying ending.

Please correct me me if I am wrong, but aren’t they 22-9 in their last 31 games, which I believe includes a 4 game win streak at the end of 2017?

at least I know they 18-9 in the last two.  Just great.

It's too early to do math but that sounds right.

This game was by far the best I've seen a Lance Leipold team play. It was Kyle Vantrese's best game as a UB QB. It was the best game for the UB defense, especially Ladarius Mack. Even the kicking that cost us the Ohio game earlier this season was perfect. It felt good to get the bowl game monkey off their backs.

This game also makes up, somewhat, for the pathetic choke jobs in the last year. But it's hard to forget 2 blown 4th quarter leads of 21 and 19 points. That keeps me from getting too giddy over that 18-9 record.

But looking at the big picture, UB football, and basketball, have come a long long way from 15-20 years ago when just winning a game, any game, was an accomplishment.

This game also got me thinking about conferences. Conference USA, which Charlotte belongs to, is made up of many large urban public universities, in cities like Houston, Miami, and San Antonio. Schools that are more like UB than the directional Michigan schools in the MAC. I wonder if UB ought to try and get in that group since it seems the American is not that interested. Either way, I think they need to leave the MAC eventually.

So much spot on in what you said, Promo.  Additionally, you know my feelings with respect to the last choke loss and I won’t go back into here as it will...get my blood up. ?

Dare I say this, and forgive me for it, but if this team is 9-3 through 12, wins the MAC and then wins a bowl then I think an 11-3 team, and 21-7 in 2 years gets programs really sniffing around Lance, even given his age.  I know the bigger programs like the younger guys, but I a, just home we get a continued run with LL.  Honestly would be something I’d the man is here another 5 years or so.

Lance really is all about family and building a program

he has said multiple times he is not leaving until he did what he came here to do.. And that is established UB football as an annual Mac power

It was a great team effort and a great w .

I don't think I could call it vantrease  best career game. He did what he had to do which was throw up jump balls to Antonio nunn

And the Bulls were just a much better team

Nice piece by Rachel Lenzi looking at UB in 2020. They bring back a lot of fire power next year.

Speaking of 2020, they only have 5 home games, playing 3 OOC games on the road against Kansas State, Ohio State and Army.

I guess they don’t come in six packs, do they?  ?

I guess driving by the sign on the I-90 in Pennsylvania directing me to Behrend College of Penn State University has me thinking there’s a B team version.  ?

No there is only 1 Ohio State University and UB will be traveling there next fall

It is a great thing.  At the very least, the programs have established long-term residency in the top 3rd-quarter of the MAC, which is pretty outstanding progress.

Conference USA seems like it has become a South-locked conference.  Logistically, for all sports, it sounds like a much worse option than the MAC, and I don't think it is that large of an upgrade.

It did sound like the AAC didnt rule out expanding.  They put it on the backburner.  I feel like if Buffalo was really motivated to make it happen, they could do it.

Is this guy good?

Apparently picked UB over Penn, Yale and Rutgers.

He is your typical MAC corner.

Under sized, not super fast... But  physical for his size and willing to get his nose dirty

I would have to think a redshirt year is in order

Nice bump for Lance but it's also a hedge for the school, increasing his buyout price, in case he takes a new job at a larger program.

He's gotta win more before he gets a call. 0 MAC championships and he's an older coach already

I think he's the best coach in modern UB history but he has atleast 2 more years

@JohnC @PromoTheRobotrecruiting class is looking solid.. not heralded by rankings but I like what they've done

UB has really expanded their pipeline and have strong presence in the south

Some good DTs and Safety's. A D end with really good potential

Good RB as always

Some solid lineman including WNY lineman of year and a QB

A couple local kids from Joe's and Canisius  HS

And yes a few JUCO kids . A JUCO Safety and WR

17 kids in all I bullieve

Things worked out pretty lucky for the 9 Bulls players who participated in Wednesday's Pro Day.  I believe within hours that evening, the plug was pulled on all Pro Day's around the country at various schools.  NFL Scouts pulled their guys back.

Imagine working that hard to prepare for it and having your day cancelled.   So many disappointments for athletes around the country this spring.
