As someone who did click on the link, it was an interview/selfpromo type deal with an outfit called Uninterrupted. They appear to be an original content distributor with a focus on professional athletes' interviews/podcasts. From the level of production I am fairly certain it was rehearsed and meant to frame the topic in a particular light. I agree, a lot of times quotes out of context and the player was asked explicitly and just answered. On the other hand, the QB "face of the franchise" is expected to perhaps have a bit more savvy at dealing with the media, and I think it would have been "best practice" for TT to channel a bit of Belicheck with some "my focus is on this team and this season" "on to Pittsburgh" etc etc Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I just dispute the entire notion that he was somehow hard done by the Bills. He was plucked off Baltimore's backup squad by one of the most disappointing HCs we've had in a long time and subsequently installed as starter. After going through 2 offensive coordinators (one in Roman who I still consider having done a very fine job) in 1 and 15/16s seasons , he gets benched for one meaningless game due to a contract situation. It it just makes sense, really. And to sum it all up, one guy's truth is often another guy's lie. Almost forgot...Tyrod had every chance under the sun to lock down that spot, no questions asked, big money to follow and he simply did not do it. The fact that the coaching staff had to even consider benching of TT in favor of Peterman tells you all that you need to know. No hard feelings for me with TT, but he was just almost consistent/good enough to make it close, but not so good as to make it obvious. Onward.
