If Congress didn't impeach Clinton who allegedly committed his crimes while in office, I highly doubt they will impeach a President for allegedly crimes before assuming office.

Clinton was impeached...

Quote

With respect to counts seven and eight, as the defendant allocuted, and as detailed in the information filed today, the government would prove that the defendant caused an illegal corporate contribution of $150,000 to be made in coordination with a candidate or campaign for federal office, and also that Mr. Cohen made an excessive contribution of $130,000 in coordination with the campaign or candidate for purposes of influencing the election.

The proof on these counts at trial would establish that these payments were made in order to ensure that each recipient of the payments did not publicize their stories of alleged affairs with the candidate. This evidence would include:

Records obtained from an April 9, 2018 series of search warrants on Mr. Cohen’s premises including hard copy documents, seized electronic devices, and audio recordings made by Mr. Cohen.

We would also offer text messages, messages sent over encrypted applications, phone records, and email.

We would also submit various records produced to us via subpoena, including records from the corporation referenced in the information as Corporation One and records from the media company also referenced in the information.

Lanny Davis is a Clinton hack lawyer. Why would he get involved with Cohen?

He offered his services pro bono. Cohen's broke or near broke. So he hopped into bed with a Clintonista and did a double single digit salute to the POTUS.

Of course now, like any lizard of ill repute, Davis wants to get paid...

From the link that Buffalo Gal posted in the other thread.....................

SALENA ZITO: Why Trump’s supporters won’t care about Cohen and Manafort’s convictions.

In the aftermath of Tuesday’s news that both former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort and his lawyer Michael Cohen were found on the wrong side of the law in separate court cases, the question asked most frequently by the press, Democrats and “Never Trump” Republicans is, “Where do Trump voters go now?”

The answer is the same that it has always been since they first started asking it Nov. 9, 2016: With Trump.

This new conservative populist coalition is not the fluke the political class hoped it was. Donald Trump did not cause it, he is just the result of it, so no matter what he does, it continues. It is predicated on them, not him. (this what the libs on PPP cannot grasp)

The coalition is a strike at not just tone deafness in both Congress and the White House but also high levels of incompetence, negligence and shoddy performance at agencies, as well as inept social services, a bloated and incompetent bureaucracy, endless wars and multinational agreements and treaties that don’t benefit average people.

These voters knew who Trump was going in, they knew he was a thrice-married, Playmate dating, Howard Stern regular who had the morals of an alley cat. They were willing to look past all of that because of how institutions had failed their communities for three consecutive presidencies.

Right now the value of Trump to the Trump voter is he is all that stands between them and handing the keys to Washington back over to the people inside Washington. That’s it. He’s their only option. You’ve got to pick the insiders or him.

So the question becomes: Can the Democrats pick someone who is Trump? Someone who just says, “I don’t trust anybody in Washington either. They all suck. The Democrats sucks, the Republicans suck and Trump’s a crook.”

If they could pick a Trump for their side, then Trump could have a problem. But as it stands we only really only have two parties; the party of the governing elite and the party of Trump.

That is why they stick with him.

I think this is right.

Let's not forget that Cohen's guilt in a conspiracy with Trump is only a bridge into the much more serious crime of conspiracy with Russia. Manafort's also. Just because Trump cultists don't think anything Trump has done should be considered a crime doesn't mean good, honest Americans won't see it for what it is. Clinton was impeached for less than this.

And the real story is still to be told. Trump throwing around terms like "Rat" and "Loyalty" and obviously obstructing justice, claiming that getting information from Russia was "ok", "everyone would do it" shows that he is acting guilty. Robert Mueller will probably go quiet for the election season, but he will be heard once the mid terms are done and perhaps Dems win a majority. We are only at the end of the beginning with this thing, not the beginning of the end.

ADDED:

WHY IS FACEBOOK BLOCKING Salena Zito’s article on Trump supporters?

I’m seeing a lot of complaints on Facebook about legitimate links being blocked as spam last night and tonight.

Like Twitter, packs of people get together to "report" content. So, not only does valuable content fight with the Facebook algorithms (basically pay to play), it fights with the swarms that want to suppress free speech. Since it is nearly impossible to contact Facebook (although if you have a campaign ad manager at facebook, and she may not, but the NY Post should, you can gain access to a live body at Facebook that way), these report attacks work.

And anyway, what does it matter? Trump's supporters are the ones that want to suppress free speech!!!   (sarcasm people)

Maybe I’m wrong, but aren’t they actively working to suppress freedom of the press?

Hahaha.....so we have a turncoat lawyer, a porn star, and, now the National Enquirer in the mix. Sounds like a Jerry Springer episode if I ever heard one. Unfortunately people are taking this seriously.
