Straight Hucklebuck Posted July 21, 2018 Share Posted July 21, 2018 Nashville is overrated in my opinion. When you boil it down it’s one street of bars/restaurants in a small city. Never been to Nashville, but ive been to Memphis a couple of times for drag racing, and had a great time on Beal street So, I have jumped the shark. My last two posts were not about NFL cities. I just pulled in coming back from Nashville. If all you did was Broadway you missed out. A friend of my son plays there, so I go to see him when I’m in town, but that’s about it for Broadway. I drive down the strip just to laugh at the people and the blaring music from each place. The pedestrian bridge to the Titans stadium means a lot of pre and post game activity there, so many game day visitors probably only see that. There are so many other cool areas to hit, but my son was local and showed me around or I might not have found them. It’s a huge college town, and the medical research community is really HUGE. Lots of wealth there. But most people just think of Broadway and country music. It’s so much more. I love it, but the weather is not ideal for me. Even ran into Paul Mcguire, Suzy Kolber, and Joe Theisman. They were all at the bar in the Omni and were super nice/down to earth. The next day we Water taxi’d it to the stadium where we got off and partied some more watching a live band. The stadium itself is pretty basic/boring thou.
