Or maybe just #12, #22 and next year's first so that we can fill the roster a bit this year. Should be interesting for sure!

id rather keep the very valuable first. but it might have to be part of it.

i think we would probably give up next years 2nd so that we have the player for next year.

Would much rather give up the 2nd this year than next year.  I'll be real excited if we land the QB, but I'm not optimistic enough to think we'll be drafting later than 53 / 55 next year.  I'd hate to give up pick ~36 to save pick 55.

if we are able to keep the first next year. we can always get the 2nd back next year with a trade down. i mean we can do that either way. but i'd rather have another hole filled this year

I like next year’s draft better too. I want a pass rusher in that 2019 group. I’d much rather dump a pick this year (somewhere between 53-65 should get it done).

I think 12, 22 and 53/56 gets the Bills to #2, the Giants have to be the trading partner. Another team can just leapfrog the Bills at 3.

Maybe so, the Bills can start something like this:

- Rosen

- Harrison Phillips

- Malik Jefferson

- Anthony Miller

I'm guessing not moving up to 2 is a pretty strong indication the Giants aren't planning on moving down at all.  I also wouldn't be surprised if they have a very good idea a non-QB is going 1 or 2.

Basically, I don't think they move up to 3 without having a very strong idea who they'll be getting, or are happy with either option.

I’m not sure they would know that...

could be Gettleman said he's staying put and either taking Barkley or Darnold. If the Bills want Rosen they only need to worry about the Browns in that scenario, who probably already hinted at where they are leaning at #1.

It kind of pays off for CLE to tell the Bills where they might be going so that they can assure themselves of the 2 guys they want at #1 and #4. IF they keep things too secret the Bills might go to #2 or #3 and take the guy CLE wants, so they forego taking Barkley #1 and end up missing out on him because they don't want to miss their QB.

Exactly.

It would benefit the Browns to know who the Bills are taking at 3 for their 4th pick as much as it would benefit the Bills to know who the Browns are taking at 1.

As for the Giants, there's a clear relationship with Gettleman and Beane.

Browns could be talking up Barkley hoping the Giants call them to switch spots, this picking up and extra pick and still getting them the QB. Then they trade #4 to some other QB hungry team and get even more picks.

It's fun to imagine what goes on behind the scenes!

Here is a scenario no one wants to see.  Cleveland takes Rosen at 1.  Bills trade with the Colts for 3 and NY Giants select Darnold then trade him to the NY Jets for a slew of picks in the draft.

I think browns will go allen, giants take barkley, then we trade 12, 22 and next years 2nd to get to #3 and take darnold, colts have a lot of holes to fill, yes chubb sounds great but getting 2 in top 22 would be nice to start filling out their roster.  Dont be surprised of OBD gets this trade completed b4 the draft. Or even if i say it...just give up 12 and 22 for luck, and colts select darnold and have picks 12 and 22.
