Michigan bans flavored e-cigs.  People are outraged.

Quote

These interventions are, indeed, unduly harsh. According to a leaked copy of the emergency rules (which are not yet finalized), anyone found with four or more flavored vaping products is “presumed to possess said items with the intent to sell.” This is punishable by imprisonment of six months and a fine per item.

In other news, the Governor of Michigan apparently has the authority to create a new criminal statute out of thin air, but people are far less outraged about that.

Seriously, Michigan...what the *****?

The above is an interesting listen. I was also amused that the person describing this is a Rothschild (no idea if related to THE Rothschild's).

Still one of the best sequences in movie history for my money.

Easily. It's marvelous direction and cinematography, putting you right in the action instead of watching it from outside.

I've heard where the sequence at 6:20, with Val Kilmer reloading, has been used in training riflemen (although mostly in the sense of "Look, this Hollywood actor can do it right.  So can you.") It's a tribute to the training the actors went through - and the blocking and direction - that they got so many little details so right.

Too many actors and filmmakers forget that today: get the littlest details right, it makes the viewer part of the story and holds them there.  The moment you miss a detail, it knocks the viewer out of the story and makes them an observer.
