"This is where the healing begins."

Recommended Posts

Buffalo sports is bottoming out in brutally slow, and painfully obvious, ways. This is, almost, rock-bottom. Buffalo fans, BBFS sufferers, we've almost made it.

The end is near. Just took a lot longer than expected.

"This," I'd like to suggest, "is where the healing begins."

Leave all hope behind. Embrace the descent. It's remarkably freeing.5905baf2-50e2-47e9-b88c-6b2333d0c0a1_scr

i love that there's always a need to bottom out or rebuild or plug long-term holes at certain positions while other teams make the playoffs with inferior squads or patchwork wr corps or first-year coaches/QBs. we're always waiting for that turnaround that never actually comes and it's always filled with excuses while every single other team in the NFL has made it to the playoffs with rotating casts, weaknesses, and difficult divisions. it's a disease in buffalo. it's a culture.

I reached this mental state you speak of some time last year.

And yes, it is remarkably freeing.

Confucius say:  The Bills fan who is not afraid to lose always wins.

No we may not have bottomed out, not even close.

The Bills are 5-5.

Check back in December when we are 6-10

The record may be much worse then, but will the situation, writ large, really be any worse?

We are indeed near rock bottom.
