If you've read say, Michael Bennetts comments you'd know what I mean. It really is about them.You have to read between the lines. The message is Cops are racist and biased against minorities and by the way so is every individual in the country who's not a minority. That is their message. They just aren't going to come out and say that verbally but it's not hard to figure out if you are paying attention. That is simply nonsense. It's a high stress job dealing with a lot of the scum of the earth. It's not an excuse, but it likely contributes. It's a larger problem than what the players are " protesting " is my point. I've educated myself just fine on the issue thank you. I've got my thoughts on it and you have yours . Gotta love that white-splainin. It's like when men man-splain women's issues. From my perspective, if folks don't commit crimes to begin with then the cops wouldn't hassle them. But I am sure that's a naive perspective. And examples like the guy in South Carolina that was executed by a policeman burn bright in people's minds. So I won't sit here and judge. Treat the police with respect they deserve for the job they do. Police need to treat the people they serve with respect. And if you have a problem, then speak out. Protest. Kneel during an anthem. Apparently, you shouldn't be walking during the day around medical facilities, either - because in the last week, I was stopped and hassled twice for walking around them - by security guards. If I were black, I would be blaming all this on being black, even though both times in the last week, the security guards were black.
