Republican Tax Plan (a nothingburger with cheese)

Sweet justice indeed. The Dems just sat on their hands and did nothing to help reform the US tax system. They return to their constituents with a bowl of sour grapes and have to face the fact that the people who sent them to Washington are going to pay more because they did nothing to help them. And cry me a river for the Hollywood and Palo Alto billionaires who have to pay more in taxes now in spite of their enormous monetary contributions to the corrupt Hillary Clinton.

The trickle down from this is that the states with exorbitant taxes will have a much tougher time raising them in the future. Taxed Enough Already?

LIVE: House Revote on Tax Reform Bill

The House needs to revote on the tax bill after the Senate stripped two provisions in the bill because it violated Senate rules and removed the title of the bill.

The Senate passed the revised bill late last night, 51-48, and sent it back to the House. Once the House passes the bill again, it will go to President Donald Trump.

Just heard two of the BIGGEST LIBERAL partners at my firm are trying to move their year-end payouts to January 1st to take advantage of Trump’s #TaxCuts! All year Trump was “literally Hitler” to them. NOW, they want to take advantage of his signature accomplishment!

Politico reports:

[Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine),] a key swing vote on the tax package, accused reporters of ignoring her influence over the final legislation and unfairly criticizing her efforts to pass a pair of Obamacare stabilization bills.

“I believe that the coverage has been unbelievably sexist, and I cannot believe that the press would have treated another senator with 20 years of experience as they have treated me,” she told reporters in the Capitol. “They’ve ignored everything that I’ve gotten and written story after story about how I’m duped. How am I duped when all your amendments get accepted?”

 Surprised she didn't also pull the race card. Media picking on her cause she is white or something.

She has promises from Mitch McConnel. That an a dollar will get her a McDonald's coffee. What a joke

That's...actually brilliant.  Pretend contrition and resign over a scandal, but at some future unspecified date.  Then wait until everyone moves on to the next shiny object and forgets about you.

You are a right winger. You have no way at all of knowing anything about what I make yet you confidently say what you feel it should be. Ignorant! You must be a Trump supporter. Your ignorance is telling

Not everyone gets in an auto accident everyday either. Bad example

And you a name calling intolerant alt-left hater who, like all the alt-left, stand for nothing live to rail against anything opposed to their political narrative.  You and your ilk feel the need to shut down all discourse and all thought not complient with your cause of the week. I see you as I see Stalin. Tyranny on the left, a need to control others and actively seek to shut down free speech and thought, like we see in our socialist college campuses. Since you have no logic or underpinnings to your leftist agenda, your resort to name calling, ridicule,  intimidation and volume. You're against everything and stand for nothing, such is the way of the brainwashed alt-left. You are an excellent example of this intolerant, hateful movement.

You give him too much credit. He's the left's useless idiot---nothing more, nothing less.

IF CORPORATE TAX CUTS ARE SO BAD, WHY ARE THE BLUE STATES SLASHING THEIRS?

Leave it to Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer of New York and other blue state officials to provide yet another illustration of utter hypocrisy in politics.

Shortly after Congress approved the largest tax cut in American history and the most significant reform of the tax code since, 1986, Schumer lamented that “now we know they are popping champagne down Pennsylvania Avenue. There are only two places where America’s popping champagne: The White House and the corporate board rooms, including Trump Tower.”

Thanks to the tax reform bill, Schumer added that the measure “officially cements the Republican Party as the party of the wealthy and the party of big corporations against the middle class and the working people of this country.”

Then there’s this piquant observation from Lifezette’s Brendan Kirby, who points out that: “Even as prominent Democrats such as Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) and Sens. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.) and Richard Durbin (D-Ill.) trashed the idea, their extremely blue home states have been cutting corporate tax rates.

“The three states are among a dozen overall that have changed their corporate tax rates since 2012, according to a report this month by the Tax Foundation. All of the changes have flowed in one direction: down.”

As “they” say, you just can’t make this stuff up.
