Trump Fires James Comey!

Recommended Posts

Trump is meeting Wednesday with Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov. No more Flynn to act as go-between to get Putin's marching orders. You can't make up this shite.

Job interview. Maybe Lavrov for FBI Director. Either that or Secret Police Commandant.

You're doing a really good job, though.

Why should he have done it in January?

Try not to give a reason that applies to "Obama should have done it in October!" as well.

You must have many friends and close family on the outside of this world.....your comments are so charismatic....people must pine to be close to you and enjoy your company....

If it was done in January, it would have been justifiable to say he wanted a fresh start with a director who didn't impose himself into the election and had lost credibility on his impartiality. To do it now, when the reasons given to fire him were there in January, and after Trump praised Comey's actions days before the election, indicates that Trump is worried that the FBI is getting close on the Russian connection, and the Yates testimony must have rattled him and pursuaded him to act now. And if Obama had fired Comey, the Republicans would have been screaming about a coverup.

This is the first time in history that an FBI director was fired by the administration they were actively investigating. When Clinton fired the FBI director, it was after an independent investigation found the director had misappropriated funds, and was supported by both Dems and Repubs.

Employees fired by Trump:

Sally Yates

Preet Bharara

James Comey

Employees investigating Trump:

Sally Yates

Preet Bharara

James Comey

odd isn't it.

The question is, now that Comey isn't an employee, what will he be free to say?

Will any hidden truths come out?

And look Kellyanne is back on the news reels!

Yes, because that's what the President of the United States number 1 priority should be. Right?

Well, to The Donald it is. He cares more about being in the "real" news than running this damn country.

In what kind of world do you live in where you believe that a new FBI director is going to suppress the ongoing investigation that's this politically charged?

Trump world!

Might not work, but I can see Trump trying to pull a "Harriet Myers" on the FBI

The FBI director can decide what the priorities are and where resources can be allocated. He could slow down the investigation or bring it to a premature end, and say in his judgement there wasn't enough evidence to justify continuing the investigation, as the Trump minions have been saying in interviews. And since most of it is classified, we wouldn't know if it was true or not. And unfortunately there may be too many Republicans in Congress who care more about passing their legislative agenda than our election process being compromised to press the issue. Thus the need for an independent investigation by someone who doesn't report to the Trump administration. I can only hope enough Republicans have the courage to stand up to Trump.

You mean like the FBI Director deciding to invent a new legal procedure called "Good Intentions?"

Man, there is nothing like starting your morning with a daily dose of liberals in meltdown mode.

You all cry for Comey to be fired, and when he is fired, you cry about Comey being fired?

Really?

Thanks for the laugh, leftists. You never disappoint. Is it any wonder you're left with Macungie and Detroit.

Trump doesn't see it as disorganized, he's the proverbial Emperor without clothes, and those around him won't tell him the truth. So the gang who couldn't shoot straight keeps trying, oblivious to reality.

He's getting rid of a corrupt official that should have prosecuted Hillary. Get a good guy in there and let the real FBI start spilling its guts. Drain that swamp. Let's get rid of the criminals one at a time. Hillary should now be in the cross hairs. Then Uma and her pedophile husband. How about Holder? Then the biggest fraud of all Barry.

Man, there is nothing like starting your morning with a daily dose of liberals in meltdown mode.

How come nobody on the left is wondering why Comey's firing is on the heels of more disclosures about Huma's emails?

They are a circus side show at this point. So disorganized they can't keep track of their previous lies/narratives. It's so fun to see them exposed for the incompetent, corrupt nothings they are.

President Donald Trump weighed firing his FBI director for more than a week. When he finally pulled the trigger Tuesday afternoon, he didn't call James Comey. He sent his longtime private security guard to deliver the termination letter in a manila folder to FBI headquarters.

He had grown enraged by the Russia investigation, two advisers said, frustrated by his inability to control the mushrooming narrative around Russia. He repeatedly asked aides why the Russia investigation wouldn’t disappear and demanded they speak out for him. He would sometimes scream at television clips about the probe, one adviser said.
