Dan Posted December 24, 2016 Share Posted December 24, 2016 Underperform? The talent on defense is overrated. A better coach doesn't fix a defense's inability to tackle. The Bills LB corp are atrocious. Lorenzo is going to the pro bowl based on numbers from the first 5-6 games, he's been average since and completely unable to rush the passer. Hughes has regressed. The safeties are terrible. The only good things on the Bills defense are the two cornerbacks (who have been below average and inconsistent, but are still talented) and Dareus/Williams. I'm not a Rex fan. I think his teams are unorganized and lack discipline and accountability. But Whaley has built a terrible team that is on the cusp of needing a massive rebuild. Absolutely disagree. Discipline, teaching fundamentals, game day adjustments are just a couple of the ways a coach ..directly.. affects the players on the field Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

He has a 39 year old defensive philosophy, he does not adjust his defense to fit the skill set of the players he has. Rex has not clue how to run an offense or time management.
