They are the only civilization in the middle east that approaches anything resembling a civilized western democracy. They are our greatest allies and the preposterous thought of not supporting them in a region filled with religious psychopathic extremists who wish harm on anyone who doesn't comply with their Sharia wet dreams is beyond baffling. they're the same barbaric, war mongering players that were present long before we chose a side to give military aid to, thus alienating much of the other side. First off comparing Israel to the Islamic extremists that are becoming more and more prevalent and dangerous is comic. And to think that if we all of a sudden ceased to support Israel will make things nice there is just the opposite of comic. And we've alienated them? Awww, that's so sad.
