High application costs, extensive documentation requirements and lengthy waiting periods for approval sharply reduced participation in a 2012 executive action aimed at undocumented immigrants brought to the United States by their parents as children, and the process is expected to be even more arduous this time around, the lawyers said. Only 44 percent of the 1.2 million eligible immigrants under the 2012 order had been approved after two years, That would apply if all the requirements are enforced. FireChan Posted November 22, 2014 Share Posted November 22, 2014 Once these new demi-citizens are "on the books" and "paying" social security taxes (they likely will NOT pay any income tax - either Federal or State), they will be eligible for the Earned Income Tax Credit. That amounts to $6,044 for a married head of household, filing jointly with three children. Out of the 12 million + invaders there are probably a million who fall into that category and that alone will drain $6 billion from the US Treasury. They LOVE this country! Another added benefit (for our southern neighbors) is they can empty their prisons and ship them across to Texas, NM, AZ, CA and be done with them. They can give them new papers and instructions on how to blend in to their new country. Buenos Dias! Geraldo Rivera is uno happy hombre. Third benefit. They'll all vote Democrat for two generations. Nonetheless, the House of Representatives chose not to act in the same what Senate Democrats refused to let the Keystone XL Pipeline out of debate for a vote on passage. The Constitution allows both Houses of Congress to set their own rules and the House followed its rules. So it is not what Barack Obama did, but how he did it. He had no power to do it. Congress, under Article 1, sets the rules for immigration and naturalization. Those rules require certain things happen. Barack Obama, as President under Article 2 of the Constitution, is required to faithfully execute the law. He is, in effect, telling several million people that it does not matter that they ignored the parameters the Congress set. He cannot do that.
