What is better, no guns, or more guns?

Recommended Posts

Interesting that when a cop shoots someone, nobody blames the gun. You know, the same people that say that guns are the problem not the people when it is not a cop, magically now blame the cop when they shoot someone and it is not the fault of the gun.

Cool. While we’re leaving our personal safety up to God, let’s also get rid of home security alarm systems, front doors that lock, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, seat belts, air bags, bike helmets, and modern medicine.

QUESTION ASKED:

Is St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner Framing the McCloskeys?

“If it’s true that the gun was inoperable during the incident at the McCloskeys’ home, Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner or her office may be framing the McCloskeys in order to prosecute them…

And what about the rifle Mark McCloskey was holding? Police reported finding no ammunition at the McCloskeys’ home when they confiscated it, and that it was not loaded. Was it ever loaded? Has it ever even been fired prior to being in police custody?”

I don’t think this couple should have been charged for a number of reasons.  But the fact the gun is not functional or loaded is irrelevant.  The statute they were charged under does not require that.

the website you linked to is factually wrong about that.  Not tying to argue or say it’s your fault, the news sites should do a better job of making sure what they say is true

Rochester man charged with murder, released from custody with no bail

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — A Rochester man accused of murder has been released from custody without bail.

A County Court Judge ordered Randall Scott to remain home on electronic monitoring.

He was charged with second-degree murder in connection to the shooting death of 31-year-old Paris Washington in a backyard on Bardin Street in June. Olajuwon Holt, 26, was also arrested and charged with second-degree murder.

Scott's attorney, Don Thompson said he made the argument Scott has a good standing when it comes to returning to face charges.

Thompson says Scott previously returned from out-of-state to face misdemeanor charges in a separate case.

The District Attorney's Office said bond was originally asked for, but ultimately not set. A move they tell us the Assistant District Attorney "strenuously" objected to.

St. Louis prosecutor to detective on McCloskey case: 'I suggest you quickly reassess this evidence'

Documents show lead detective initially refused to sign documents prosecutors wrote about the case

The lead St. Louis police detective investigating the McCloskey case refused to sign at least two versions of court documents prosecutors drafted, according to a review of those documents obtained by 5 On Your Side.

In addition, police contend at least one person in the crowd was armed and another was wearing a bullet-resistant vest, after analyzing videos taken June 28, when the couple confronted protesters with guns.
