11 Fanspeak drafts 5 rounds, no worries

Recommended Posts

After doing 11 Fanspeak Bills drafts 5 rounds you see the beauty of the Bills off-season allowing BPA - used all 4 big boards - 4 fanspeak, 3 Walter, 2 DraftTV, 2 Ourlads

some drafts are better and some are worse but all are pretty good - some guys you'd like get grabbed but there are enough good players they can't grab them all and often there is a guy you can't believe is still there.

I've been doing the fanspeak draft for weeks, just for fun with decent results. Thought I would try the first-pick one. Did it twice complete with trades and here is what I got.

Round 1 Pick 30 (S.F.): Dee Ford, DE, Auburn (B)

Round 2 Pick 9: Austin Seferian-Jenkins, TE, Washington (B+)

Round 2 Pick 24 (S.F.): Antonio Richardson, OT, Tennessee (A-)

Round 2 Pick 29 (S.F.): Carlos Hyde, RB, Ohio State (A-)

Round 3 Pick 9: Christian Kirksey, OLB, Iowa (B)

Round 4 Pick 26 (N.O.): Ahmad Dixon, SS, Baylor (A-)

Round 5 Pick 9: Ed Stinson, DE, Alabama ©

Round 5 Pick 27 (N.O.): Brandon Coleman, WR, Rutgers (A)

Round 5 Pick 29 (N.O.): Bennett Jackson, CB, Notre Dame (B+)

Round 7 Pick 9: Jeremiah George, ILB, Iowa State (B-)

Second time:

Round 1 Pick 18 (NYJ): Aaron Donald, DT, Pittsburgh (A)

Round 2 Pick 10 (TENN): Dee Ford, DE, Auburn (A-)

Round 2 Pick 17 (NYJ): Jace Amaro, TE, Texas Tech (A)

Round 3 Pick 9: Cyril Richardson, OG, Baylor (A-)

Round 4 Pick 22 (PHI): Ahmad Dixon, SS, Baylor (B+)

That is why fanspeak is ridiculous. I always liked this one better http://First-Pick.com (although the trading can be a bit much). The picks seem to be more realistic.

OK this is who I got at first-pick

Round 1 Pick 9: Greg Robinson, OT, Auburn (A)

Round 2 Pick 9: Austin Seferian-Jenkins, TE, Washington (B+)

Round 3 Pick 9: Kelvin Benjamin, WR, Florida State (A)

Round 4 Pick 9: Keith McGill, CB, Utah (A)

Round 5 Pick 9: Brandon Thomas, OG, Clemson (D)

Round 7 Pick 9: Andrew Jackson, ILB, Western Kentucky (D+)

I don't really see a big difference

Yeah, that doesn't seem that realistic. The big difference to me is that on fanspeak you may see like: Ealy, Yankey and Gabe Jackson off the board by the time the Bills pick at 9. That just isn't going to happen.

I like it. Do we have enought rookie salary cap for this?

The one way it could happen is if QB's do go early. Back in Jan you had in some mocks, Bridgewater, Manzeil, and Bortles all going in top seven, on top of that Watkins wasn't rated quite as high back then. If that were to happen then some real good talent drops to nine.

That's my hope a bunch of temas panic over QB's and draft them early.

If the Manzeil to Dallas rumors are true, could you trade down with them, although also will admit not sure I'd want to go quite that low. Would want multiple picks back.

Hard to conceive of any scenario where Robinson or Watkins drop to 9, Matthew, maybe? Hopefully? The other two, not happening.

How about this it cost me a 1rd 2015 besides a 2nd 4th and 7th- too much?

Round 1 Pick 9: Greg Robinson, OT, Auburn (A)

Round 1 Pick 12 (NYG): Aaron Donald, DT, Pittsburgh (A)

Round 3 Pick 9: Austin Seferian-Jenkins, TE, Washington (A)

Round 5 Pick 9: Jerick McKinnon, RB, Georgia Southern (B)

I think we have enough cap money for the extra picks.

Those drafts are stupid. I enjoyed them the first year but they got old too quick. Too many good players slip too far

Then don't do them. They are just for fun and it helps familiarize you with the players because you have to do a bit of research before making your picks. Nobody claimed that they were accurate.

Has nobody learned how useless these are? Allen Robinson in the 4th, Kelvin Benjamin in the 3rd, Kony Ealy in the 3rd, AJ McCarron in the 5th, Moncrief in the 4th and Richardson in the 4th are all ridiculous.

It's still probably better than Kiper's.

They're fun and no harm is done. While specific players won't drop, some will. This draft is deep.
