Denver went on a losing streak the last few weeks.... But how many points did that same D give up during the vaunted Tebow wins? It seems clear that his porn star girlfriend is likely cleaner than his OR team....she isn't the one responsible for 3 trips to the OR, so far. Hey buddy that was also when tebow went to turn the ball over many time. How many first downs were gained during that time for Denver. Yeah, the D held the Dolphins, Raiders, Chiefs, Jets and Bears offenses in check, somehow. The losing streak was because the D was a sieve the last few weeks. In Denver's win over the Steelers, the D gave up 400 yards and 23 points. Tebow passed for 316 and 2 TDs, plus a rushing TD. That was Denver's only playoff win in 7 years...... But they also just took a lot of media focus off of Danny Amendola, Aaron Dobson and Josh Boyce. They also created some competition behind Brady. Ryan Mallett will be pushed and that's a good thing for them. Say what you want about Tebow, but the guy works his tail off. He'll fit right in with Brady. The answer is that he had 4 ints (all in 2 games, none in the other 3 games) and 4 fumbles lost (one in each of 4 games)--not great, but not disastrous. Dick LeBeau had plenty of tape on Tebow, and still allowed him to go for over 360 total yards in a playoff game. I tend to doubt that Tebow will stick because he can hardly !@#$ing throw, but to imply he has absolutely no chance is to ignore his history. Maybe 2011 was a complete fluke, but how can anyone presume to know for certain? Factor in the 80 yards on that one 5 yard pass with 75 YAC in overtime and that production is essentially what you would hope to get on average from your QB, not what you would laude him for for producing one time. You need only look at the QB play for the Bills since 2003 to see similar statistical anomalies. Ryan Fitzpatrick once threw for 370 yards in a win against New England. Trent Edwards was 10-6 as a starter upon entering the league. JP Losman and Kelly Holcomb produced a winning season and nearly guided the Bills to the playoffs in 2004. Given enough time, none of them passed the sniff test. Much like Tebow, when you look at their body of work as a whole and not based on the anomalous aspects, they sucked the majority of the time they were on the field.
