  1. That's why they play the games, man. Give the kid a chance.
  2. How about being glad that they nabbed this guy for free? Otherwise you are looking at Leinart.
  3. I'm telling you, the draft is going to save us. Tuel will fill in for a week if EJ needs a little more rest. The team speed will show up when it counts. Gonna be a year of growth and excitement and we'll be talking playoffs in 2014. Just watch!!!!
  4. Don't blame anything. He's a kid and it wasn't a great environment to play in today, but his play was still mediocre and so was Kolb's. People have really forgotten about the concept of developing talent. QBs and WRs can take time to develop. I see things I like with Tuel. Same with Geno Smith, who was a secoond rounder, but who looked terrible today. Doesn't mean that's all he is. It's one day.
  5. Go Tuel go!!! Kolb is concussed. If he's out multiple weeks.... Oh ... and thankfully CJ is ok. But why are they still playing him?!
  6. The same thing will happen in Cleveland. Fired regime that left good stuff behind for the new team.
  7. That may be true. Remember, I posted this because I thought he was such a great value as a UDFA. Doesn't mean he needs to be the starter in year one. You hope for a Kirk Cousins scenario. Hope.
  8. I think we've kept it rational with Tuel. He's a good prospect.
  9. Not sure if this is worth a new thread, but this is a solid look at the offseason changes in the AFC East from the same site that did the Jeff Tuel scouting report I started this thread with. It's worth a look. http://rotobahn.com/afc-east-preview-1/
  10. Heh. I do agree on Woods though. In more family friendly terms, he is a very complete player. He's the kind of glue player we needed.
  11. I hadn't noticed this part the first time I read it. Just to get back to what we were talking about earlier in the thread, I think this guy sees Tuel as more than just a backup. I also find it bizarre that they are talking about both of our guys together in the same blurb predraft. Ironic, and hopefully prophetic. I like the way they say that EJ is the guy worth going early on. He's also a big fan of Woods. Calls him the "total package." http://rotobahn.com/rotobahns-guys/ Can't wait for Saturday.
  12. Exactly. New England brought him in because they liked his film.
  13. It's all gonna come out in the wash. Both guys will get time over the next week and in the game. May the best QB play.
  14. I'm spinning positive today, so I'll take it as good news on Kiko. smile
  15. Marrone says Tuel in comp for starter's job. Probably coach-speak, but worth noting.
  16. That makes sense if they have played for an NFL team. They brought him in to scout him. You only get x number of rookie visits. Come on, man.
  17. I've always liked Hughes. It's just taken him some time is all.
  18. Kolb's just a guy, but that's what you get on the retread market. He serves a purpose and obviously should stay because QBs go down all the time.
  19. Think positive, folks. Read the article again. lol It made me smile both times. EJ didn't suffer a major injury and we had a great draft. The only really bad news is that his progress is being slowed, but it's a marathon, not a sprint. Of course, if it WAS a sprint ... we'd win! This team can use the run to set things up until EJ is 100% and then we can move towards more balance. Seriously. Stay positive. This is nothing but a small bump.
  20. You are probably right, but we'll find out more about Tuel and Kolb in the meantime.
