Have you ever worn Bills gear to an away game?

Recommended Posts

This story kinda reminds me how Chad Mucho-stinko bought front row tickets for 2 Bungles fans when the Packers hosted the Bungles a couple years ago. To rub it in, Chad did a Lambeau leap after scoring a TD into the 2 fans he bought tickets for.

Nice to see the Packers management were good sports and didn't remove the Bungles fans

Yes, Joe Robbie. No issue at all as we were well represented. No Pro sport Florida teams have enough fans to sell out their home venues. Sabre fans take over Tampa Bay. I love reading the local articles when we play there. They hate us for being louder and more in attendance than Lightning fans. Season ticket holders say they simply WON'T attend Buffalo games. BWAHAHAHAHAHA!

Indeed, and never really had a problem. I've worn Bills jerseys to Indianapolis, Baltimore, Washington, Carolina, and Pittsburgh.

The coolest thing was wearing the Poz jersey to the Steeler game in Pittsburgh and getting major props from Penn State fans and the Polish Steeler fans. At the same time, and sadly enough, most fans of other teams don't hate the Bills because they are so irrelevant. Most people just leave you alone or feel sorry for you.

Yep a handful of times. It was Bills at Vikings I had my one and only 'fight'. A few assclowns were throwing **** at my family and hit my young son, I (and about 25 other) Bills fans turned around and started to head that way and some level headed Vikes fans asked us to stop and promptly had the !@#$s escorted out.

Later in the game (already pissed from earlier incident) one of the Bills players got hurt and the Vikes fans were pricks. A little later Randy moss got laid out hard and I jumped up and cheered 'knock is !@#$ing head off!!'. All of a sudden this jaggoff is in my right ear telling me I am a prick for rooting for a player to be hurt and he ought to...SMACK! Right elbow into chin, down goes Vikes fan. I started to pound him as my fellow Bills fans grabbed me and reminded me the fam was there. All of a sudden a couple cops come up and I start to say something and the cop holds up his hand and says 'I saw everything including the crap earlier...you are fine sir sit back down and watch the game' They cuff semi awake pud knocker and that was that.

Yes, I live in Pittsburgh, and always wear my Bills stuff when attending games at Three Rivers, and now Heinz.

I have had mixed experiences, some good, mostly bad. I had to rescue my nephew from about four young

unruly Steeler fans in the upper deck section after we were beating them pretty badly with Reich in a playoff

game. It came real close to fisticuffs, and I had two younger kids with me including my ten year old son.

Thankfully two security guards happened by before things got ugly, at least for them.

Routinely went to the Orange Bowl in the seventies to see the Bills play the Dolphins, and always wore my gear there too.

Not as much of a problem when you are 10 or 11, at least back then, now a days I am not so sure. **** we lost to

them like 20 straight times, so there wasn't much to hassle me about back then.

Yes, for games in Charlotte and Atlanta. There were as many Bills fans as panthers fans in Charlotte, and the group i was with were way more obnoxious in ATL than any of the dumbass bandwagon Failcons fans.

The flip side of this is that I would NEVER recommend someone advising an opposing fan to wear their jersey at the Ralph. I have been to right around 200 games there and witnessed hundreds of incidents. My sister lives in Cleveland and brought some of her friends over to a game a few years back and someone through a glass beer bottle and hit the guy in the head on the walk in. The Browns fan had not said a word.

It is a little better than when I was a kid but not much. If you are attending a game with a fan of the other team I would advise them against team apparrel.

I agree man.. Fans at the Ralph can be brutal.

I remember a one time a bunch of friends and I went to Bills v Giants. One guy we were with was in his Giants gear. I've never heard such verbal taunting in my life. People were even talking trash to us Bills fans for being with him. I don't think fans are quite as rabid in other stadiums.

  • Dodgers fans go to Arizona to watch team play Diamondbacks
  • Dodgers fans pay $3,000 apiece to sit in the ground-level suite directly behind home plate (where the fans are seen in their Dodger gear on TV on every pitch)
  • Diamondbacks owner sees this, and orders security to force the Dodgers fans to wear Diamondbacks gear

“Though the stadium was publicly funded, the Diamondbacks say they have the right to dictate what fans do and do not wear, just as teams can determine whether fans are allowed to bring signage into stadiums.”

It was the early 90's and the Bills were playing the Dolphins in a playoff game in Miami (Joe Robbie Stadium?.) Anyways, My family consisting of my wife, my 8 yr old daughter, and myself all traveled from Orchard Park, NY to Miami in our Dodge Caravan.

As we crossed into Florida we realized that we shouldn't have decorated our van in Buffalo Bills decor, including a Bills license plate holder, a Bills flag in the window, and some Bills writing on its sides. Several vehicles crossed lanes right in front of us and nearly hit us or cut us off. People were yelling at us out their car windows words not fit for a family. Finally, twenty-four hours later we stopped at a gas station right near the stadium as it began to downpour. I tried to swipe my credit card as the rain is soaking my Bill's gear. The guy asks me to step inside and tells me to try again. I go back outside and once again the card wouldn't work properly while I'm getting soaked. He calls me in once more and swipes my card and as I exit him and another guy are smirking at each other and I realize I'm being toyed with!

Finally, I get my gas and we drive to the stadium parking lot. It was a different kind of environment when I noticed some tailgaters and it cost us a lot more to park there considering it was over 20 years ago ( $25.00). People were drinking all these fruity drinks in these big dainty glasses, how pathetic they looked to a die-hard Bills fan that was used to seeing people drink beer! I just sighted the Will-Call and as I'm about to park I have a SUV behind me with lights flashing!!! As I wondered what I could have possibly did wrong a stadium security guy walks up to my driver's window. He asked me, "Where are you headed?" I responded, "I am heading to the Will-Call to get my tickets for the game." He responded by saying to me, "You can come back tomorrow to get them." I explained that I was there for today's game, but he told me to follow him off the stadium grounds!! I did as instructed and eventually I found another entrance while driving in a monsoon.

We enter the parking lots once again and I hurried up and parked our van. I was thoroughly exhausted as I drove the majority of the trip and didn't get any rest. I could hear people making nasty comments about the Bills and our van and it was intimidating. We finally got our tickets and headed inside the stadium. There was an usher who was directing people to their seats, and being unfamiliar with the stadium I asked him for directions. A security guard walked up to me and told me specifically that my family and I better take our seats, keep our mouths shut, and if I caused any disturbance at all that we would be removed from the stadium! I was stone sober and regretting my decision of my family and I attending this game.

My wife reminded me not to cheer, and ignore the entire section of fans who were behind us and yelling at me. I looked to my left in disgust and there is this guy dressed as a "Roman Gladiator," and he is pointing at us (but most of it was directed towards me, as I caught most of the wrath.) I don't see any Bills fan in the end zone that I am sitting and I notice that lots of people are silently pointing at me! I have to admit I was very uncomfortable, and the popcorn, peanuts, and cups that continued to bounce off my jacket didn't help matters at all! Anyways, it was a long game that was difficult to concentrate on, and the Bills lost the game in the end because of a fumble. I don't remember the details of the game, but I do remember how bad I was treated in Miami from the moment I arrived until the moment I left. Fans backed off some and were jubilant with their playoff victory. It turned into some fun teasing, and laughing at me more than pure hatred and anger that preceded the game.

As we arrived to our van I removed as much of the writing and Bills writing as I could. I wasn't in the mood to endure anymore! We waned through traffic, heard all the horns, heard some yelling and laughing aimed at us and finally got onto the interstate. I drove through Florida as quickly as I could despite fans hanging out their windows and waving their dolphins junk at us. Until it was dark some of their fans narrowly (on purpose) would miss us as they switched into our lane right in front of us. I thanked God when we got out of that God Forsaken place known as Florida and told myself that I will never treat another fan of an opposing team the way that I was treated and will never spend my money or my time in Miami ever again no matter what!!!

It was a different story 4 years ago...when Trent Edwards went down and Kurt Warner spanked the Bills. Fights galore!

I was at that game too.

There were 2 fights in my section and one of them was only 2 rows from me. It was crazy.

Philadelphia, regular season game.

Pittsburg, the week after we watched the greatest comeback at the (Rich) Ralph.

Both places were hospitable.

The dog pound in the divisional game in 1990, fans were not so endeared to the jerseys

Any time at Gillette the fans are asses.

When the Bills played in SD, my wife and I went with the Backers out there to the tailgate and game. Last I remembered was someone leaving the pen to go to the game and handing me a bottle of Seagram's 7,,,,,I think I helped Jimbo pick up a fence...then there are picture of me wearing my Milloy Jersey on my back as well as my wifes Spikes jersey as a doo-rag....witness claimed I screamed at all passing SD fans after the game proclaiming loudly that I liked the fresh creases in their Rivers and Gates jerseys and how no one could name a QB before Brees...good times for all!

Went to the Pats vs. Bills in Foxboro wearing a T.O. jersey. It was that monday night game where Brady brought them back in the fourth and won with like a minute left. Also when leodis fumbled. Drove two hours home absolutely miserable. it was a good, friendly experience though. Pats fans aren't really that bad other than how Ignorant they are about football in general. They suck in that aspect and how they're fairweather and complain constantly when theyre losing about how bad they apparently suck, then hop back on the wagon when they comeback <_< ... Gillette is great though.

I live on Long Island so ive never been to a home game and have always been to away games. I keep telling myself I have to head up there for a home game eventually. Anyway, i have two scenarios.

Bills/jets at metlife a few times. I always rock the Bills jersey. I go with a few jets fans anyway so i get heckled but never bad. The funniest was when SJ dropped that game winning pass 2 years ago, the whole walk back to the car, jets fans were chanting "WHY SO SERIOUS" (had an sj jersey on)

However, i saw an eagles/bills game in philly. I had heard how bad those fans were and it was cold so i wore a jersey underneath a winter jacket. Thought about taking jacket off but i saw philly fans going up an escalator throw beer onto a bills fan.....decided to keep the jacket on the whole game lol

I lived in Philly for 8 years and saw the Bills play at the Vet twice. First time I wore a Bills hat and thought I was going to get mauled. Second time I low-keyed it with no problems. Philly fans are the absolute worst, bar none - real pigs.

Wore Bill's jerseys to games in Miami, Tennessee, San Diego, Arizona and Cleveland. Never an issue except for 1 of 2 games in Cleveland. Ended up in the municipal lot, and didn't think I would make it out alive. Human dogs were running up to lift there leg on me.

The only place I have ever had a problem was in Filthadelphia. Had a pickup truck drive through the middle of our tailgate full speed and had about 10 people try fighting me on the way in the stadium. Did I mention this was the last game of the season and both teams were out of playoff contention?

Yes:

A Drew Bledsoe Bills Jersey to Gillete Stadium for a Sunday Night game that the Bills got destroyed. Bledsoe started the game, Losman finished the game. Good natured ribbing, nothing too bad.

Bills Jersey to a game in Charlotte NC against the Panthers...no problems...awful game...think we won 10-7...a classic Trent Edwards performance.

Bills Jersey to Met Life stadium two years ago against the Giants. We had them beat, and then it became clear that Firz couldn't get the ball to his receivers down field and they took the ball and the game from us. Good fun going back and forth with the Giants fans...no problems.

I wore my Bills gear to an away game where the Bills wern't even playing in it. Was in Chicago a couple years back and the Bears were hosting the Patriots so me and my buddy decided to get tickets and check it out. I was treated like a celebrity, people just couldn't believe that a Bills fan from Buffalo came all the way out to Chicago and was at a Bears-Patriots game lol
