I don't know much about how he coaches, but I kind of like the unknown at this point. LET'S GO BILLS!!!! So, let's review what has happened at 5:00am on 1-6-2013......... NHL Lockout is over......... KDIGGZ
With Marrone we have no OC or DC. Is this for serious? He wasn't a play calling OC for the Saints. I never even thought this was a possibility. I'm shocked

The Beautiful East
This is a guy who has just rebuilt a college program in just about no time. I like that. I like Ryan nassib, too, by the way. I REALLY like that the Bills left the beaten track of NFL-retreads looking for a new HC.
KDIGGZ
Convincing teenagers to come to Syracuse is one thing. Running an NFL team is another. Of which he has no experience. And you guys are excited? I'm shocked. This guy isn't an offensive OR defensive genius. Unless they have a top notch OC and DC to announce as coming too then we are screwed

We may not know a ton about the guy.....his coaching style, philosophy, etc., but that is what makes this kind of exciting at the same time. At this point, I think we need the unknown more than the known...... Were there good coaches out there (who were just fired), sure....but I want something different.....something I haven't seen before. That is why I wanted Kelly. But this hire is along the same lines....we just don't know as much about him, yet. The only thing we really know is that he took a college team that hasn't been relevant sinc McNabb was drafted and turned it around very quickly...... Sounds like another situation I know of........ Now, we just have to see if lightning can strike in the pros as it did in college! Definitely is interesting if nothing else!!! I think the most important part in all of this will be who he brings in for a staff......Can't wait to find out...... GO BILLS!!! Omar Little
Two 8-5 years isn't necessarily impressive. It is relative to what he inherited. The 'Cuse program was totally in shambles pre-Marrone, and that wasn't very long ago.

BillsCelticsAngelsBama
QB friendly offense ! I like it. Don't think it necessarily means Nassib is the choice but it sure doesn't hurt his chances. This style of offense would suit Barkley and Wilson very well. Happy
KDIGGZ
Chip must have said the Bills had no chance so they made a snap decision and went for Cleveland's backup plan (Marrone) before they could. BillsCelticsAngelsBama
If he will keep the offense he is/was running @ Syracuse, we should all be happy. Been told by a college coordinator that it is one of the easiest systems to learn. That should benefit our new QB (Barkley,Wilson or Nassib) Bring it on, BRING IT ON !!!!! 8-8 Forever?
Marrone was the consolation prize for Cleveland if they couldn't get Chip Kelly. Why would we want Cleveland's backup plan? I just don't get this at all. Who is going to be OC and DC? Because the only coach who would consider Buffalo an upgrade is one who today is in f ing Syracuse. He's cheap since he is coming from the college ranks and he's local, so the thought of coming to "old and cold" is just more of the same. Sounds like the Bills to me. They will not pay Lovie or Wiz 5 or 6 mil/per to be HC. no way. Good hire. Syracuse looked good against WV. He'll bring his college staff with him, heck the Bills are pretty much a college team anyway. and he will be fired exactly 34 months from now or sooner if ownership changes. and we will start over again. again. did I say, again? Isn't it great to be a bills fan?
