Malazan Posted September 8, 2012 Share Posted September 8, 2012 cap space this year wouldnt affect resigning guys though Actually, Under Article 13, Section 6(b)(v) of the CBA, each team may carry over any remaining cap room from one year to the next by submitting written notice, signed by the owner of the team, to the league office no later than 14 days before the start of the next league year. billsfan89 Posted September 8, 2012 Share Posted September 8, 2012 The Bills do need to work on signing Levitre or Byrd. You can franchise tag the one you choose not to sign but get one of those deals done so it puts less pressure on the beginning of next off-season. I remember seeing a story about the Bills opening up negotiations with Levitre don't know if that's 100% true. But the 32 teams combined must spend $3.8 billion in cash (salaries and bonuses) by the end of each season.
