Still, for anyone who is a football fan this is a much better decision than had she ruled for the owners. That would have signaled a long drawn out process where all the power shifted to the owners and they would sit on things until players got desperate -- in other words, started missing game checks. Giving more power to the players means higher salaries, more prices for everything, and it will be harder to keep the team in Buffalo/not move more game across the border. It may be good for the fans in the short term, but it is not good for the long term health of the game. Hopefully, a stay on the injuction will be issued until an appeal is filed. The owners have the upper hand at the next level. The best hope for the league is for the appeal to be upheld and the lockout to be upheld. This may be the only way to force the players back to the negotiating table. They started it by decertifying and walking away from the table. they need to be smacked back in line and forced back to the table.
