Notre Dame and Clausen

How many embarrasing seasons does Weis get before they can him? They fired Willingham a lot sooner and he had many more quality wins and a better record.

As for Clausen, we have one perennial loser as a college qb on the roster already (TE); for me Clausen is a pass unless he lasts until round 2 or 3.

See ya, Irish!

lol, didn't he have like 400 yards today?

Clausen is a little b*tch. I would never want a straight up p*ssy to be the QB of my team - makes Trent look like the Incredible Hulk. Add in the fact he is not that great, Ill pass.

And yet he still couldn't lead his team to victory

He had an idiot kicker miss 2 FG's today as well, don't forget that, and they lost by two. Hmmmm, who should the blame fall upon? <_< QB's can't do it all, it takes a team effort. Clausen is the most NFL ready QB that could possibly be in this upcoming draft. He has all the qualities that you would want in a QB for the Bills. Strong arm which allows him to make any throw, accurate on every level of passes, used to playing in cold weather, and he has poise in the pocket. Dame's OL is not dominant by any means yet he's still put up some of the best #'s in the nation without the help of a solid rushing game in his corner. If any of you think Trent is a better option than Clausen you need to back away from the computer screen and head for the Betty Ford Clinic.

He is from California.-no thanks.

Maybe you don't understand that California has some of, if not the best, high school coaching in the country. This goes a long way to developing talent (no one is coming out of Tonawanda to play QB in the NFL).

The play outdoor sports all year there as well, and that is a big reason why so many baseball and football players come from that area. I have heard many a discussion about this subject, and it's ridiculous.

yeah, that kid who's been playing with a limp this whole season and took a hard hit last night trying to get into the endzone. Plus throws for over 300 yards per game. He sucks?

No, the guy that went 1-11 at Notre Dame and is 1 for 3 against a Navy team that previously hadn't beaten the Irish on like 50 years.

That's the guy that sucks, the one who doesn't win games for the most vaunted program in college football history.

And if it is the coaches fault, Weis, well, ewe have DJ so he won't be able to win here either.

There was a big gap in talent between the Brady Quinn years up until now. Clausen came in as a starter in his true freshman season and in no seson has he gone 1-11. They were 3-9 his Fr. year, 7-6 last year, and are now 6-3 this year. They'll end up with 9 or 10 wins and Clausen has taken huge strides forward every season. The defense has been crap under Weis. They just don't have the talent on that side of the ball, or on the OL, to be competitive with the top tier teams or even the mid level teams at points. These are the kids stats over his NCAA career http://ncaafootball.fanhouse.com/players/j...562?season=2009 and look how the # of INT's have dramatically dropped between this season from last. It takes time to rebuild a program and ND is headed in the right direction, IMO. They just aren't there yet. So get your facts straight and come up with a better, more plausible arguement. <_<

Willingham is a grade-A jackass - look what he did to UW's program. I'm no ND apologist but they are 6-3. Navy's no slouch at 7-3.

That's almost as good as PSU.

seriously. ND isn't that bad and Weiss is having a far better season then the last few. he's getting better.

more importantly, they lost to some good teams (and i hate ND). Navy should be ranked. They almost beat ohio state and they have an insanely good offense based really only around the run. its fun to watch. its just smash mouth, beat them into the ground, come and stop us football. kind of what the bills need again.

im in the navy can't help it...

Let's revisit this in 10 years by then we will know for sure if Clausen is good or not.

His brother after all had a stellar NFL career after being a 4 year starter at tennessee, so maybe it is another Peyton/Eli situation we have. LOL

We shouldn't have to. Especially if we go with your logic and base him off of his brother or stats that are made up.
