I certainly wouldn’t argue against that response, but I’ll just say that the time I spend with my 2 grown sons jumping up and down, hugging and high fiving during games is special and it started by my dad and myself taking them to games as 12 year olds. They were more interested in the experience and hanging out with dad and grandpa when they were in their teens but now in their early 20s they’re into as much or more than myself. Im glad they decided to be Bills fans, it’s created special moments, had they decided not to be, then I would have found other ways to create those moments… no big deal.

This is a spot on take of the current state of the sports media landscape as a whole, 30 years ago a player of Allen’s talents and playoff performances would be unanimously respected and hailed as an all time great. Those days are over and now swimming upstream against the current is what drives these programs. Allen is clearly a top 5 QB no matter where you view it from and to belittle his game is an obvious ploy. I miss the days of when sports media didn’t require screaming and arguing to entertain.

If the player is fine with the risk, who am I to get in his way, there’s been players who’ve retired early due to concussion risk and good for them, but it was their choice. Life is full of risk/reward decisions for all of us to make.

I like QBs who score lots of points, they tend to win more often than those who don’t.

It’s not silly though, his stats say he has no business but if the award just goes to the best player on the best team, then Lamar is the MVP. Lamar is clearly one of the best football players in the league.

It’s hard to judge accurately when the QB is surrounded with elite talent and operates one of the most QB friendly systems in history. I believe he’s excellent with what’s asked of him.

Nobody is mocking him for being good, they’re mocking him because the media were putting him in the upper echelons of QBs.
