I think the way they stopped those runs the Dolphins were hurting them with last game was very noticeable. Fins did almost nothing on the ground. They were not because when games were close they lost all of them. This year they won the vast majority. In the playoffs you'll play far more close games than blowouts.

Then why was the offense statistically better with far fewer "bad" games this year than last year under Daboll?

Yeah the Fins made some nice "fake" openings where they allowed Allen to think he had a wide open rush lane up the middle and then as soon as he tries to run, they collapsed inside to take it away. That takes some experience tho to do we, in one game where the other team hasn't faced Allen or hasn't in a few years I doubt they are that nuanced. That's why division games are tough no matter what.

Good for him but he would have gotten limited opportunities here. Always could end up like Foster here tho too next year.

It appeared the Bills were not lined up properly and several players were open immediately. Thompson made a bad read and threw deep incomplete, so the result made it unnecessary but it could have been a big gain on a much easier throw if Thompson saw that.

Wondering if that is the move more teams try to do against Allen...show him the free up the middle runs with gaping space and then close the pocket just as he tries to take it. Miami did that several times today...made him think he had a huge lane up the middle and closed it last second.

Very unlikely they play this way again. The assumption play carries over from one game to the next is the most overthought falsehood there is in football by fans. Maybe that and that there are such things as trap games are equal. Games are their own singular unit. Nothing carries over from one game to the next.

What if we win the SB playing all the games like this? How many posters will we lose from cardiac events? Are the Bills trying to see how many people got the CPR training they were pushing?
