    By mid season next year he will be benched. This looks like Taylor Hienicke part II. Again. Once the DCs figure out what to take away, he will have to adjust. That will likely happen by early next year. The reason he is a 7th round pick is because he likely has nothing to adjust to.

    Seattle's defense is so bad it's mind boggling.

    He barely had over 1000 yards this year and before today had 1 100 yard game since October 2nd. He should be far better than he actually is based on the size/speed package.

    I f**king HATE Ward!!! All this dude ever does is illegal contact downfield on every play in playoff games and never gets called for it!! Metcalf didn't get to that ball because he got grabbed and held up by Ward way way past 5 yards.

    You'll find out when they need him to put the team on his back at some point. That's the one weakness of Shanahan's offenses...they are schemed incredibly well but rely on QBs that cannot put the team on their back when needed. Those are the games there for the taking but lost due to QB play.

    Yeah in those situations I tend to agree...there are a lot of times I sit there wondering why they took a TO instead of just eating the 5 yards.

    Not necessarily. They are in a key 3rd and manageable situation at 3rd and 5th. The odds of convering. 3rd and 5 are significantly higher than a 3rd and 10. Also since they are in fringe FG range they might have went for it if they didn't convert on 3rd and 5. No way they are going to go for it on 4rd and 10.
