he had a bad game...doesn't usually have many and I am confident he will be fine.
-
We usually don't, we usually destroy them.
-
Well...this week featured a lot of very good to great teams either losing to much worse teams or barely scraping by... Chiefs scraped by the Broncos. Eagles lost to the Jets. 49ers lost to the 3rd string QB in Cleveland. Bills scraped by the Giants. I'd rather wake up today with the W in a "bad win" than with an L in a "great loss". You don't get awarded style points in the NFL, only L's or W's at the end of the day.

IMHO, that gameplan from Martindale was eerily familiar from the Bengals playoff game where Allen seemed under duress the entire the game. To ME, just while watching, it appeared Allen is having trouble setting the protections properly because there are often enough guys to block the defenders, but guys are getting free almost immediately, which seems like it's because they aren't blocking the right people. Not sure if anyone else can comment on this who might know more, but this it looked very similar to the Bengal playoff game last night where he was confused and under pressure a LOT right from the start of the play, and to me, that can only mean his protections are not set up properly to block right. Positive sign was that he seemed to figure it out at the half because his numbers coming out of halftime were much better.
-
I was wearing my blue JA17 jersey until the half then switched into my Color Rush red Diggs jersey. Allen looked so much better the 2nd half. You are welcome.
-
Not sure how much of that is on Dorsey. Allen seems to be having trouble with certain disguised blitz looks and from what I'm seeing, it "appears" he is not setting the protections properly for them leading to quick pressure when the BIlls have enough guys to block them. Not sure if anyone who knows more of the nuances can chime in, but that is what it looks like to my untrained eye... Honestly, last night reminded me a lot of what the Bengals did against in the playoffs us where Allen looked bad for a lot of the game. He is going to need to figure that out sooner rather than later because it's on tape now multiple times.
-
Maybe he will refuse to go in against the Bills because he doesn't want Diggs to smoke him all game.
-
Tyrod is not a good QB and against good teams he usually sucked badly...like 50 yards passing in the 4th quarter bad.
-
We likely would see the 56 yards passing in the 4th quarter Tyrod we all know and love.
-
Now the real fun begins... Not only do we have some major injuries we already know about, now we get to see all the players who played the whole game and will be DNP this week and likely out for the following game on top of them. Luckily we are playing a team that has scored only 3 offensive points in the first half of games this year. Bills should be up by about 4 TDs going into the 2nd half.

What Did You Do that Caused the Bills to Lose?
Big Turk replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
I only got dressed up in head to toe Bills gear 20 minutes before kickoff instead of my normal hour. -
Apparently traded because he refused to go on the field when the other player was hurt and forced the dude to play on a gimpy ankle 72 out of 73 snaps... What a joke. "Wasn't warm enough" was his excuse for not going in among a host of others. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/report-former-chargers-cb-j-001544001.html Does it matter? Their offense has been outscored by the opposing defense the last 2 games 28-3.

24 Hours after London, The Good (yes there is good), The Bad, The Ugly.
Big Turk replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
I mean it's hard to really talk about preparation when the Bills have an average margin of victory over the past 3 years of almost 11 points per game when including EVERY game(including losses). That's an almost impossible bar to maintain. -
2023 Night Home Game logistical questions
Big Turk replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
If you are tailgating then you'll probably just need to leave the tailgate early to head into the stadium...if you are trying to time it properly and just arrive...that will be tricky. I would say give it AT LEAST 2 hours before gametime to make sure everything is situated properly. -
Roger Goodell said today's game was an experiment??
Big Turk replied to Bubba Gump's topic in The Stadium Wall
It was an experiment because the NFL is considering allowing the Jags to use London as their home stadium while they build a new stadium in Jacksonville. The plan would be for them to play all their home games there in a row then all their away games in a row,. or vice versa. Thank you NFL for roping the Bills into your little experiment and doing so with circa 1985 Astrodome turf. Wasn't bad enough they had to get set up for a huge disadvantage with the schedule, they also had to play on walmart carpet. -
No way...dude is giving up 20+ lbs...he would get eaten alive by OLinemen. Actually almost 30 lbs...Poyer is listed at 192 lbs, Milano at 221 lbs.

Most likely he just doesn't realize it. Sometimes the body can compensate for a while but then if pushed more than it can compensate the effects become clear pretty quickly.
-
Yes obviously it will definitely help. The Bills had similar issues last year missing a lot of players on D and held together mostly fine. The scheme limits the impact of any one player going out to as much a degree as possible. Obviously having Tre, DaQuan and Cookie out are big losses, but not as big as they would be in other schemes.
-
Yeah...because that's the same as everyone on the team, including coaches having to all experience a huge stressor to the body's status quo. I would be willing to bet if you were hooked up to machines to measure your metabolic and other internal processes, it would take a lot longer than that. Most studies they have done say 2 weeks for your body to "reset" completely.
-
When was the last time you heard players needing to drink tons of coffee and other caffeinated beverages to stay awake during Friday meetings?
-
They don't need to say it...it IS an issue regardless of whether they want to say it or not. Science has proven this many times over. You disrupt the body's internal rhythms and you are simply just "off". You don't really know why or have an explanation, you just are. The effects are different from person to person...some will be effected much more than others. "Jet lag can negatively affect athletic performance, especially when traveling across multiple time zones. It is caused by the misalignment of the body's internal clock (circadian rhythm) with the local time at the destination, leading to symptoms such as sleep disruptions, fatigue, difficulty concentrating, and altered mood. Athletes may experience a decline in cognitive and physical performance due to jet lag. Physiological parameters like heart rate, ventilation, and blood lactate, as well as direct measures of physical performance like peak muscle force, anaerobic power output, and vertical jump, are associated with circadian rhythms"

No wonder why he looked so terrible whenever he got into a game...he literally had no idea what was going on. How is it possible for a player to get to the NFL and then not want to do everything in their power to be the best they can be? https://www.yahoo.com/sports/mike-mcdaniel-confirmed-johnny-manziel-122649332.html

Does it really matter? The Giants scored 6 offensive points against Miami yesterday against a defense we torched for 48. And 3 of those came off a Tua INT that had them in FG range.

Kaiir Elam is a liability any time he is on the field
Big Turk replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
I didn't think the coverage was that bad at times...I think the coaching staff put themselves in that spot by not getting him enough work in real games...I think as the year goes on he will improve as he did last year...
