is two deep the blueprint on how to beat the Bills?
Big Turk replied to Coldfronts's topic in The Stadium Wall
The only positive is that in the Giants game at least after whiffing initially and Allen avoiding him and stepping up, Cook then doubled back and drove the defender about 5-6 yards further back and completely out of the play so there wasn't a chance he could hit Allen from behind after running by him. -
Why didn't McD mention either him or Bernard in the Monday injury update?
-
Was Elam ok or could the Giants just not take advantage of him?

Neither was great but neither was terrible. -
Credit to him, but not like Tommy Doyle finishing a game in heat stroke conditions playing a position he never played before on a torn ACL like Week 3 last year in Miami.

is two deep the blueprint on how to beat the Bills?

I doubt it...they have been facing 2 deep coverages for a few years now and it usually doesn't work well. I think what works is stunts up front with the DLine that seems to confuse the pass protection far too often still and delayed blitzes coming from different areas of depth with guys dropping out that are near the line. Allen doesn't seem to know where his "answer" is quick enough against that. Cook in pass protection has been tremendously bad the last 2 games and is going to get Allen killed if he doesn't improve quickly. As in he has multiple "Ole!" blocks where he doesn't even lay a hand on the blitzer and they just run right around him. 2 of note in particular that I have seen in real time is the one against the Jags where Davis drops the 3rd down pass along the sideline after Allen had to rush the throw thanks to Cook's "block" and then again last game where Allen basically had to avoid the rusher again and stepped up and threw a completion to Diggs for the first down. -
And then he got tackled by his teammate which probably didn't feel great either 😂

I think we are all good there.

weird that McD didn't say anything about that on Monday when asked about injuries to players from the game.

Week 7 Bills @ Patriots - on to Foxborough!
Big Turk replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
McD did not mention anything about this in his Monday injury updates, at least not from what I heard. The Bills typically don't run well when they don't use the right TYPE of runs...they can gash teams with under center runs often times but Dorsey seems hesitant to use them far too often and instead goes with shotgun runs which have limited success rates. And if they want to run from the shotgun, Dorsey should go back to the Kelly era Bills and study the counter trey out of the shotgun since that was a staple they ran and it was highly effective...not this hand the ball off up the middle crap that goes nowhere most times. -
Yes, that's fair, but I also take issue with spacing on some of these plays. There was one play in particular where 4 Bills were within 10 yards of each other in the pass patterns with a bunch of defenders all in the same area too...it was literally like the Bills said "We want to force you defend as few blades of grass as possible!" while there were huge open areas of the field with nothing but space. This isn't the first game it's been mentioned either...a few times you'll see a ball end up being incomplete and 2 receivers will be literally right next to each other or even sometimes he will complete it and it's hard to tell who he was actually throwing to since both receivers are in the same general area.

I used to think she was super hot back when I was a teenage watching Three's Company.

Tre White Injury Updates (Torn Achilles now confirmed)
Big Turk replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
Did Tre get the same surgery that has Aaron Rodgers WAY ahead of the traditional timetable for return? Apparently Rodgers is 3x further along and some are saying he could even be back by December now. This new procedure comes with a 12-14 week timetable for a return to play according to the doctor who performed it. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/jets-aaron-rodgers-on-pace-for-unprecedented-return-possibly-as-soon-as-week-15-injury-expert-says/ -
He also had Shakir wide open on an out on the play I bolded that probably would have gotten at least 15 yards. My question from what I was watching was...is Allen having issues setting line protections against certain looks? Seemed very similar to Bengal playoff gameplan where multiple OLinemen were standing around blocking nobody while 2 guys got near immediate pressure several times. And further, is Allen even setting protection calls or is Morse still handling that like he did when Josh first got here?

After nine games, where do you think the Bills end up this season?
Big Turk replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think our best bet would be for a team like Miami to take out either KC or Cincy and then we end up playing them. -
I got stopped leaving work one night because I worked down by the Broadway Market and it was already dark since it was around this time of year and I was getting off at 8pm-ish. The police stopped me and asked what I was doing down there. Told them I was leaving work to go home. They asked where I worked. Mind you, I had my work clothes on that showed exactly where I worked so I just pointed to the logo... Then they said "Oh, we just wanted to check because there are a lot of white people who come down here at this time of night to buy drugs and we wanted to make sure that wasn't what you were doing down here." I looked at them and asked them "What was your probable cause to pull me over?" They said "Have a nice night." and walked away.
