What? I did not miss anything...The stunned smiley was a reaction to that article...That's all... -

Exactly... Not touching that one... -
I hear ya...But I still don't think Henry was a thug...He's just brain dead... I don't know...I think you have to have a certain level of consciousness to commit thuggery...

Henry and Lynch are not thugs at all...They are just dimmer bulbs...Lynch is basically a little kid who never grew up...Henry's bulb is so dim it's all but out...Big difference between thuggish, incredibly immature, and just dumb as a box of rocks...

Just some speculations, rumors and predictions.....
KOKBILLS replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
All the needs on this team and they're going to go with a smurf WR???...Who did this Mock Draft? Rex Ryan? And don't get me wrong...Austin is a heck of a good player...No question about it...But if the Bills go with a 5-8-175 WR at #8? Just...No thanks... -
Not a big Landry Jones fan...Always seemed to be something missing when I saw him play...I think he's somewhere in the 3rd tier of QB's in this Draft...For some teams it's going to come down to Jones or Bray I imagine...I'm hoping that Buffalo is not one of those teams...
-
I'm guessing that's Joeckel, Fisher, and Warmack...I'm also curious...How high did they have DeCastro last year? I know some had him in the top 5...But as an OG he slid...I'm thinking Warmack will see the same this year...Though I doubt it's all the way to #24... One note on Dareus...I'm sure everyone knows this by now...He was a 318 lb beast at the Combine...He's played 2 seasons in Buffalo at 340 plus...He's a not-so-small example of why scouting is so tough...There are a ton of variables once a prospect gets into the league...But I'm not sure any of them considered the chicken wing factor...

Stevie wants DHB (Update - goes to Colts)

Nah...I would finish the beef on weck first...They're delicious!!! -
Well...I don't disagree about Dareus at all...That take is 100% spot on... But the problem is, in a 3-4, no way Kyle can be a NT either...He'll likely be forced into it if the Bills can't find a NT, or if Troup is officially done...But IMHO Kyle Williams is simply a no-fit in a 3 man front...So if you want to get him on the field and have some success it's going to have to be as a 3-4 DE...Maybe some type of "elephant" package like Big Teddy and Fat Pat used to run...I don't know... I just don't see KW as a fit for a 3-4 whatsoever...And if I had to pick the lesser of two evils I would put Dareus at NT and hold my breath...

And Gilmore would be breaking this news? -
No question the 1st half of 2012 was bad for Cam...He was my Fantasy QB so I speak from some experience here... But in his defense Cam came on big time in the 2nd half and, at least I believe, answered some of his critics big-time... And one footnote...I won my last 9 FF games and took the league...

Said by who? You? Look this may not be the best QB class on paper...But just about every "expert" I've read/or heard from about this Draft class has "their QB" that they really like...And it may be just one guy for each talking head, but that guy seems to be a different one across the board... The majority of Scouts like Geno best...Charles Davis and Mooch love Matt Barkley...Russ Lande and Greg Cossell think Nassib is a Franchise caliber QB...Many feel EJ Manuel and Matt Scott have tons of potential...etc...etc... So anyway...I think the statement that there is no QB solution in this Draft is a bit...well...ridiculous...Though I do think the chances of Buddy Nix picking the right guy are slim...But that has nothing to do with the talent, or lack thereof, at the QB position in this Draft... So there are PLENTY of QB possibilities for the Bills in this Draft, and chances are at least one of these QB's, probably two, will become decent NFL starters in time...
-
So I'm guessing (by all that I've read in this thread) that ideally The Bills will wait it out for some young LB's, WR's, or DB's who will take bargain one year deals...Then fill out the rest of the Roster with Draft picks and UDFA's...Sounds exciting!!! Seriously though, I think there could definitely be some bargains left over the next month or so...We'll see...
-
Well...Be careful in this Draft when you consider BPA...Why? I've heard it said about a million times already concerning this Draft...There is almost no difference grade-wise between the prospect who will be available at # 8 and the prospect who will be available at #28...This is a VERY deep Draft, maybe the deepest Draft (especially at D-Line and O-Line) scouts have seen for many years...But it's also a Draft that is void of elite talent...Once you get past Joeckel, Fisher, Jordan, Floyd, Milliner, and Ansah it REALLY evens out quickly...And the chance that any of those 6 will be available at #8 is slim...or none...Chance Warmack would also fit in that group of elite talent. But he's an OG, and OG's do not get Drafted in the Top 10...If they did David Decastro would have done it last year... So when you consider BPA at #8, is it really going to be a player that is considerably better than the BPA at #12, or #16? Not from what I've read/heard...Which leads me to believe that the Bills will take whatever QB they have rated highest at #8, unless that QB is gone already...If they are unhappy with the QB's at #8 they'll probably look to trade down...if they can't trade down, and QB is not an option at #8, then I think the pick comes down to Cordarrell Patterson, Lane Johnson, or Barkevious Mingo...
-
Exactly...At least it would seem that way... Plus...How many Teams can say their #2 WR position is basically a wide-open competition? I'm guessing The Bills could get two of these remaining WR's for about 3 million in 2013...Or maybe less...Could it be that they are just waiting for one, or two, of these young WR's with something to prove to beg for a shot? It's weird...

IF IF IF Minnesota Trades Up To 8 for Cordarelle
KOKBILLS replied to Astrobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agree 100%... Astro's a good dude...He definitely sparks conversation... -
Agreed...Smith may be a bit overpaid for what he brings...He's certainly not a conventional WR...But he's super versatile, plays a ton of Special Teams, and he can be a serious threat on KR's...To me at least, the last thing The Bills need at this point is to get rid of guy like Smith...I look at it this way...As far as sudden points probability on this Roster Smith is behind CJ, Stevie, and McLovin currently (am I missing someone? And don't say TJ Graham... )...Why lose that guy because of a couple million in Cap space on a Team desperate for talent?...Makes no sense to me... But this is The Bills we're talking about...so... It seems like a lot of these UFA's are sitting out there being a taught valuable lessons about their Market Value right about now...Does it not?

KOKBILLS replied to Astrobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm pretty much doubting he will be there at #8 as well...Let's face facts...Things never go that smoothly for this Franchise...Ever... -
I have to say I'm pretty shocked The Bills have not taken a flyer on one of these younger WR's available in Free Agency...I can't imagine any of the ones left over costing much...And this roster is so WR deficient right now it's scary... My preference would be Barden who bring a physical package you just can't find normally...Nix has been talking about a big, tall, WR for some time now...Why zero interest in a guy one of the best Scouting Depts in the NFL Drafted 4 years ago when it's basically going to cost next-to-nothing? What's the risk exactly?

This^^^ And I'm not even saying Geno is the next great thing, or anything close to that...But for this Franchise, at this time, they pretty much have to take the #1 QB in this Draft if he's available to them... -
Dion Jordan is 100 times the NFL prospect Maybin was...Jordan was an all-purpose OLB at Oregon...He can do it all...They even asked him to cover slot receivers at times...And even though Maybin was a good athlete, Jordan is a better one... There were plenty of people warning NFL teams about Maybin going in to his Draft...Mike Mayock even did a special little segment on The NFL Network where he said Maybin should not be a 1st Round pick...The Bills, and Dead Dick specifically, just thought they were smarter than most concerning Maybin...He was WAY over-drafted... I don't worry about Jordan at all...I think that kid is a serious prospect...

Ryan Nassib - QB - Syracuse

In Barkley's defense he was punished in that Stanford game. The USC O-Line was terrible... One single game vs. a like opponent does not make Scott>Barkley...How did Scott do vs. Oregon this past year?
