  1. Exactly...Better to have an eye towards the future...Easley clearly looks like an NFL WR...And Rogers has serious upside...What do the Bills lose by cutting Smith besides experience? Smith is not an every down WR-type...I like Smith's versatility, but I don't think that matters much to this staff...No wildcat with this Offense...
  2. So...I'm guessing Brad Smith is feeling a bit nervous at this point...Easley looks much improved, and I don't think the Bills want to chance sneaking Rogers to the Practice Squad...That's not good news for Brad...
  3. I REALLY liked the way he took what the D gave him, and looked calm doing it...Those passes were where they needed to be to allow the receivers to get out of bounds...EJ really looked calm...Then when he knew he had to dart one for 6 he hit it perfectly...This should give him a nice little confidence boost...
  4. Nice way to finish off the half!!!
  5. Exactly... I certainly hope no one in that locker room is playing the victim card...Go out there and make a name for yourselves by kicking the crap out of Indy or Washington...It's not like they are the 78 Steelers...
  6. That poster has my vote as well... Impossible to disagree... I had it btw...
  7. Good...I'll sleep better after I take him in the 1st...
  8. He's as good as gone...
  9. I'm taking Spiller in the 1st in both my FF Drafts...Not necessarily because I think it's the best pick, but because I want him, and I don't want anyone else to get him... I better Draft well after that...
  10. This is SO true!!! Geoff Tate has proven to be one of the biggest douchebags on the planet earth...There's your proof... Exactly to all points...Great post...
  11. No...It's actually because a lot of people on this board, despite the more-than-occasional numbnut, actually watch and understand NFL football...Down in and down out...I know that comes as a surprise to some... And while Dareus has been far from a complete disappointment...He's no where near the NFL player the Bills, and most Bills fans including me, thought he would be when they drafted him #3 overall...And to your point...I would contest that the reason the Defense was not playing well...at times at least...had a lot to do with Dareus...Though he was far from the sole culprit...It was a total team effort, and he was right in the middle of it...
  12. Sounds about right...Unfortunate it definitely is...
  13. That's good news...Because he most definitely looked overweight at the 1st OTA he attended...I saw the video on the official site and had to go back a few times to look at it again...I swear he looked 360 plus...
  14. He's going to be (according to reports) the sole Franchise Tag holdout this year, and one of two over the past two years (that includes 29 total tags)...I can most definitely blame Byrd and his crap agent for the holdout if it does come...And maybe the reported deal he turned down is not what he and his crap agent wanted...OK fine...But if that 5/$36 mil figure is close, it certainly was a sizable offer, and fair for a top 5 safety...Especially if that top 5 safety really wanted to stay in Buffalo...I'm certainly a Byrd fan...but I don't think he's the best Safety in the league...I think Goldson and Thomas are clearly better...Weddle too...I think top 5 is a fair argument though... I can understand Byrd not taking the deal and gambling that a big season will prove he's worth $8-9 mil a year...But a holdout, IMHO is bush-league...If he holds out for any significant period of time I'm done with him...I simply have no tolerance for these garbage tactics any longer...Tactics that include whining about injury potential, or not being tagged next year, when there is a guaranteed minimum of almost $7 million dollars...It seems to me that what is really being said here...again by Byrd's crap agent...is that Jairus is reluctantly willing to stay in Buffalo under the sole condition that you make him the top paid safety in the NFL...And if that is truly the case...well...I'll hold the out-door open for him... Maybe it's just me...I don't know...I'm just over this holdout garbage...And in my gut I don't think the kid wants to be here...I definitely don't think his agent wants him to be here...I could be wrong...We'll see...
  15. My take on the agent thing is that Byrd is a grown man...And by this time, if he REALLY wanted to be in Buffalo, he could easily nudge his agent in that direction...And he would absolutely, at bare minimum, sign the tag in time to be in Camp starting Sunday...That's why...and it's only my opinion...but that's why I feel Byrd is all but done in Buffalo...I don't think he wants to be here...And IF that is the case I don't care if he ever sees the field again in a Bills uniform...Even if that means the Bills D is not as good...If I'm right, and Byrd does not want to be here unless he's the top paid safety...well...I'm completely, 100%, done with him...
  16. If Byrd holds-out...I believe that will make him one of two Franchise Tag holdouts over the past two seasons (maybe I missed one...not sure)...29 total Tags...2 holdouts (that I know of)...And Byrd is...at least reportedly...going to be one (Dwayne Bowe was the other)... Just saying...
  17. I pretty much agree... If Byrd wants to be the sole NFL holdout I'm done with him...And if I'm the Bills I let him sit till whatever week it is he has to sign the tender in order to get credit for the year...Then I Franchise him again in order to Trade him next off season...I don't mind The Bills playing hardball in this case whatsoever because I think Parker is a prick, Byrd is all but done as a Bill anyway (ie...I don't think he wants to be in Buffalo), and this team is in total rebuild mode...There is no way the Bills should give up their leverage to trade Byrd...And that's what waiving the Franchise Tag ability does... And also...When he comes back in week 10 or whatever...He does not play...I'm done with the kid...Disappointed and done...And that's just my opinion...I know he is a very good player, and that the Bills don't have a lot of good players...But I really don't care...I think this is a classless move by a player who does not want to be in Buffalo...
  18. I think we all knew where this was going months ago the minute we heard the words...Eugene Parker...At least I did... The chances of Byrd being a Buffalo Bill beyond the 2013 season are about nil...Parker's not the type to agree to a home town deal...And I guess that's understandable...Byrd picked him for a reason...And it just seems to me this is a case where the player and his agent want to be paid MUCH more than they want to be in Buffalo long-term...So...So-be-it...
  19. 5. Gilmore 4. Stevie 3. Byrd 2. Mario 1. Spiller Gonna give Cordy Glenn and honorable mention...I think in time he could be a dominant LT...
