I chose the Stanford game only to point out Barkley's toughness...If you watch the game you will see Barkley get absolutely mangled...I mean...He gets hit, and hit hard on almost every pass play...But he keeps getting up and firing...It was not Barkley's best effort...But that game, IMHO, clearly showed he's a tough kid...

That's some seriously over the top over-generalization there...Surely you realize the difference between franchises like say Seattle, or even a team like Cincy, and the Bills right? Buddy the butcher has taken opportunity after opportunity and bludgeoned them almost every chance he has had...Especially in the Draft...Sure the Bills have re-signed some of their key Vets...But those Vets need a lot of help, and Nix has provided almost none...

I've never been the biggest Barkley fan...But outside of the fact that they both went to USC, there is almost nothing about Barkley and Leinart's game that is similar...They are no where near being the same player...And while Barkley may not have all the tools necessary to be a great NFL QB, he's tough as nails...Just watch the tape of that Stanford game and tell me Barkley is not tough...Leinart on the other hand is pillow soft...So...

Interesting...I don't know what gave me this feeling after I read that...But for some reason I'm wondering if The Bills had assumed Fitz would agree to a pretty big re-structure and pay-cut in order to clear the money for Levitre...And instead Fitz is saying no...forcing their hand...And they still have not decided what to do... Just a thought...

Very true...Some good info does leak through no question... But I am guessing that a ton of the Nassib rumors are coming from the obvious connection to his College Coaches...It's easy (and maybe even probable) speculation...Not sure how much actual truth is behind it...I do think there are (some) more talented QB's in this Draft...I think that's pretty obvious...I think Marrone and Hackett are Offensive guys that are going to be like kids in a candy store when they see the overall talents of QB's like Geno and EJ Manual...I think Coaches will always look at the positives first and assume they can build a system around the talent...I've always been of the mind that Marrone/Hackett will like other QB's in this Draft more than Nassib...I could be wrong for certain about that...We'll see...

After the 1st five mins or so of Russ Brandon's presser announcing his promotion I wanted to cry I was so happy! Then he started to talk about Buddy, and heaped so much praise upon the good ol' scout I wanted to cry out of desperate sadness...

So...The fact that Buddy drafted 15 players, signed Nick Barnett, and Shawne Merriman,...Anderson,and Mario last year...All to a Defense that still ended up being historically bad for not one, not two, but three consecutive years under his watch...That was not Buddy's fault because the team he took over was so bad? Is that what you're saying? Ever consider it may have been Bush's fault?

Very interesting...I have to say that when I first heard the rumors about Smith's name coming up in the Bills Head Coaching interviews I immediately thought they were true...After all I think everyone in the Bills FO knows quite well that we have to upgrade the QB situation...The Bills saw 1st hand last year what Smith could do...I mean...He threw for 303 yds vs the Bills with 3 TD's and no INT's in only 24 attempts...His QB Rating for that game was 156.3...So the idea that The Bills would be highly interested in Smith is no surprise whatsoever...The fact that they were likely willing to give up their 2nd this year then some is a bit of a concern though...Not sure how I feel about that...I do feel Smith is a major upgrade from Fitz though...

Well...If the decision comes down to Levitre or Wood at OBD, chances are they would be wrong in the long-run regardless of which one they chose...That's the way it's been going for a while now...

I guess that shows how piss poor The Bills QB situation has been because I never thought of it that way before now... I would say the answer to your question conservatively is a whole heck of a lot...

I would say the simplest way to judge NIx to this point would be to say that almost regardless of what happens from now till the beginning of Week #1 2013, The Bills are going to be one of the favorites for the #1 pick in 2014...Now...Maybe they land a few key UFA's and add some polish to this roster...But from everything I've read/heard about the Cap situation that will be tough...Maybe they get lucky and the QB they Draft turns out to be much better than projected...Could happen...And of course they could go on the field and shock everyone by actually winning...Forgive me if I'm not assuming that will happen just yet... My point is this...How could anyone, at this point right now, consider Nix anything other than an utter failure as a GM...Sure he can pull it out in the bottom of the ninth...But to this point...It does not look good...Not good at all...

Nah...Fitz just sucks...Not saying some of the Bills WR's helped a lot...But overall Fitz is no where near good enough...And I'm no huge TJ Graham fan, but his rookie season would have looked a hell of a lot better had Fitz been able to get him the ball a few times when he was wide open deep...

I will say this about Barkley...And I've said it a lot over the past 6 Months...I've never been thrilled with his overall arm-talent or athleticism...But that Kid is tough...And he's a tough-minded QB...Just watch the loss at Stanford...He gets cremated a ton in that game...Just constant pressure in his face...But he kept bouncing up...It's weird because I came away very impressed with Barkley as a leader after that game...And it was far from one of his better College efforts...

I never took issue with the suggestion...Who would? It's a message board and I welcome any conversation. I would not mind seeing the Bills Draft Scott either (just not in the 2nd Round)... But the OP still continues to compare Scott favorably with Wilson and Kaepernick as prospects...And I'll I'm saying is...That's impossible...But I'm not saying Scott does not have the potential to play in the NFL...I'm not even saying Scott can't be as good as Wilson or Kaep in the NFL (though I doubt it)...I'm saying Kaep and Wilson were not just good, but great College Football QB's, which in turn made them better NFL prospects coming out...The OP seems to think that point is incorrect because there was not enough people banging the table on TBD for Wilson and Kaep before their Drafts...I'm not trying to dis anyone...I'm arguing a point... The discussion was started because the OP made the comment that this Vid of Scott vs Stanford was likely as good as any College film on Wilson or Kaep...Which I think is a pretty outrageous statement to be honest...I mean...Y'all can argue that point among yourselves...I've rested my case on it... And to the OP 1billsfan I do apologize for being a bit of a wise-ass...I can do that sometimes...My bad...I still stand by my argument 100%...But I should not be such a dick about it either...
