  1. My guess is OT Lane Johnson... With Joeckel and Fisher going in the Top 5-7 (at least I believe they will), that leaves Johnson as the top LT prospect available...He's a kid with tremendous upside, freakish athletic ability for an OT, and the fall off from Johnson to the next LT prospect in this Draft is pretty serious...I could see a team that is desperate for an OT, especially a LT, to possibly Trade up...
  2. I pretty much agree with everything you said...I don't think the Freddie deal was a bad extension though...He's just been unlucky...I don't think his injuries have anything to do with wearing down...When he was healthy Freddie still looked very good last year... Anyway...You answered your final question about what this team is doing, at least what this team is doing now, with the bolded statement...I think you were dead on there...
  3. Well...I don't disagree...But we all better hope Brandon and Whaley can get the job done, because that's what we're getting for the foreseeable future... I'm hoping internally Buddy has been stripped of his ability to have final say...The fact that he's still around is unquestionably a joke...But there has to be a reason for it...However misguided that reason may be...It is what it is...
  4. I'm literally praying The Bills FO understands this...I still think they should take a QB high in 2013, but Trade down...Maybe 2 times...Collect extra picks, maybe even for 2014...And still take a QB with one of the 1st two picks...Worst case scenario you get your back-up this year, and your starter next...
  5. It's a good question... First, before I try to answer...This Franchise is clearly in a bit of disarray, and Brandon knew it when he took charge. I think he immediately moved to get the HC he wanted knowing it would be his guy...I now choose to believe (because I truly have no idea), no matter what Brandon said, Buddy is not his guy. I'm going to assume (for the sake of my sanity) Ralph asked him to let Buddy down easy...And that's what he's doing...Whaley is Brandon's guy at GM... Anyway...Back to the question...I'm thinking, at least for the 2013 Season, the Bills are going to try to sell a prayer...Because realistically Brandon and Whaley know this Roster is a mess with a ton of question marks. They are going to use 2013 to build the foundation...And I'm sure they're well aware that it could get ugly...But it's the NFL, in an area of the country that is rabid. They won't worry much about sales this coming season...But they do know they are going to have to build that foundation so they can sell hope in 2014...Because, unfortunately for us Bills fans, it will likely be 2014 before the Bills can even try to sell winning...The good news is there is a least a chance that 2014 will be a very strong QB class...I think The Bills will still Draft a QB in the first 2 Rounds this year...Maybe they get lucky and get ahead in the process...But if things go bad...the hope would be on opening day of 2014 you have a QB like Nassib, or Manuel, backing up a Rookie like McCarron, or Bridgewater... I'm hoping Brandon and Whaley are smart enough to understand that they have some pieces, but a lot of damage has been done...And now it's time to carefully build a strong team moving forward. Marrone will be key in this plan obviously. And in the next 2 Drafts the Bills will have to find a REAL good, young QB...But I truly think they realize in the meantime they're selling Spiller and a prayer...
  6. He's not a huge dude frame-wise like Big Teddy...I think he was supposed to be (at least the Bills were hoping he would be) the Casey Hampton-type NT...The anchor-type who plugs up the middle...
  7. Ya...I can do that... Seriously though...Can the Bills get lucky for once and have Troup come back and actually contribute? That would be nice seeing as though they have no one at NT outside of TT on the Roster, and a Defensive Coach who favors the 3-4...
  8. He was a redshirt Freshman...
  9. It's just my opinion...But I think the three to watch closely are Manziel, Bridgewater, and McCarron...They will all have eligibility left after next season, so it's hard to say all 3 will come out...But...I think if things go right for all 3, and they all come out, that's 3 QB's who can go in the Top 10...In fact...I think all 3 might have higher grades than any QB in the upcoming Draft right now...Without playing another College game...There is also David Fales, who some believe will be the top QB available in the 2014 Draft...Fales is a Sr in 2013, so he's in the next draft for sure... So there is at least a possibility that the Top 10 could be very talent rich at QB in the 2014 Draft...Then you add Murray...Who I think should be at least a 2nd Round pick...Boyd could move up into the 2nd Round area...Logan Thomas could rise by showing he has a clue...I'm sure there are a couple others I'm forgetting...
  10. I think McCarron will be joined by Bridgewater, and Manziel in the Top 10 of 2014...Assuming they all come out of course...
  11. Who knows? But I do doubt it...It's hard for me to imagine a team that does not value their 2nd Round Pick homegrown LG enough to pay him top dollar, would then turn around and value a Rookie OG enough to take him at #8 overall... NFL Teams have Organizational philosophies...A very common one is don't overpay for any OG, and don't Draft an OG high in the 1st Round...Buddy is on record several times saying the Bills prefer to take OT's and move them inside rather than taking a guy who, in a pinch, can only play 2 positions along the line...I'm guessing if The Bills go O-Line in the 1st...and I really doubt they will...but if they do...it would be OT Lane Johnson...That would allow Hairston to move inside to LG...
  12. I'm 100% on board with bringing DHB in...Assuming the price is right of course...He has shown some in the past two years...And he obviously improved from early on in his career...Buffalo would actually be a great landing spot for him...He'll get all the chances in the world to contribute on this Roster...
  13. 100% correct...That is his specialty...And the reason he does not show up as much on the stat sheet...He'll be a major contributor...Especially on 3rd Down...I really like this move...He's only 28...This is an area of massive need...No words can properly explain how bad The Bills need a LB who can cover TE's...
  14. I pretty much stopped reading right there...
  15. Fisher will likely be long gone... Some teams like Fisher better than Joeckel...He's at least in the conversation right now for #1 overall...I don't see any way he gets to #8 overall...
  16. You mad Bro?...
  17. I'm pretty sure he is...In fact I'm positive...
  18. That's as good a reason as any...
  19. That's just rumor garbage...The Bills are looking to bail out of #8 and get extra picks anyway...Now...They may go ahead and take the QB with whatever 1st Round pick they end up with...But I think it's a long, long, long shot that they will take a QB at #8 not named Geno...Who knows though...If they have that type of conviction about Nassib than so-be-it...He better be awfully good though...He better shock the world...
  20. There wasn't one before today either...
