  1. Who's out? Dareus and Gilmore...That's about it...
  2. Stole him in my Fantasy Draft last night...Slid due to the suspension...
  3. This looks absolutely nothing like the Defense from last year...Nothing...
  4. Well... I've heard two different local talk show guys actually try to make the point that EJ playing well is a bad thing for the Bills... I mean...I'm not predicting anything...And I don't expect much...But seriously...Your 1st round QB playing well is a bad thing?...I thought at that point I had heard it all...
  5. Ready your breakfast and eat hearty!!!
  6. True... That's why that report about Rex wondering if the Jets would be willing to trade Geno made absolutely no sense to me... That being said I think EJ is the polar opposite of Geno in many ways...The thing about EJ is...the same way many fans like me can't help themselves, they have to pull for the guy...I think the same goes for his teammates and coaches...Excluding Marrone of course who was a bitter, terrible, human...EJ works real hard and does everything asked of him plus some...And EJ has all of Geno's raw talent too...I imagine, no matter what Rex may or may not have thought about EJ going in, he's come away at least mildly impressed with his overall upside...And maybe he sees the future at QB in Buffalo a little better than he did going in...EJ's still only 25...He's still almost 6-5...He still has a great arm...He's working tirelessly to get better...He's a great teammate...I just think he's got so much more to work with than Geno...And Geno is a headcase...
  7. Go watch the video...They are literally showing video of the three QB's while he's asking the question... But ya...I'm delusional... Seriously...No one...and I mean no one has even hinted at Simms having a chance at this roster...Is it possible? Sure it is...But it would literally be the biggest surprise of them all...And keeping him over a 1st round pick from just two years ago...No one is expecting that or inferring it...No one...
  8. Sure technically he did not name all three QB's he was planning on keeping...But come on... The question by Chris Brown was framed around the 3 QB's who quite obviously are Cassel, TT, and EJ...and whether or not Rex would have to make a tough roster decision to keep only two...Rex brushed off that possibility immediately... "No...We're going to keep 53 really good players...And I have a funny feeling that means 3 QB's..." Rex, Brown, and everyone on the planet earth knows who the three are...And I'm not saying that he has not changed his mind by now either...Just saying at the time it was absolutely those three he was talking about...
  9. I find it interesting too that it took this decision for him to question Rex for the first time...Up to this point it's been all love...Now, Rex names EJ as the starter of one preseason game and it's time to second guess him...Amazing... Really...I've felt TT was going to be the guy for a while now...But I've never wavered from the contention that there is no way on earth I would give up on EJ yet...There was simply too much unknown about his first two years...And to top it off I was never a big Marrone guy...So yes, I'm assuming running a run first offense that could not run the ball played in to EJ's problems...I just don't see how anybody, especially anyone who lacks football knowledge like Schopp does, would ever want to decide finally that EJ can't reach his potential...I just don't get that... Schopp just said it...He does not feel EJ can be a good NFL QB...Period...That's it...
  10. If you truly think any NFL HC would do something like this with the fans in mind...respectfully...you're nuts... Rex and Roman have been nothing but complimentary towards EJ and his play since they got here...They are doing their due-diligence based on their evaluations of all three QB's...That's all...
  11. Good grief Mike...That would be terrible!!! Why in the world would you want the 25 year old QB you drafted in the 1st round just two years ago to challenge the two guys you brought in? That would be a worst case scenario...right?...
  12. Plus...I don't think there is any question Cassel reminds some of Fitz and Orton...
  13. Fair enough... I just can't imagine being that kind of fan when my team spent a 1st round pick on a guy...Especially a guy with as much class as EJ has exhibited from day #1...And I've been pretty critical of the kids play from time to time...I would just love to see him put it all together and become the QB he's capable of being...
  14. I mean...This has to be the coincidence of all coincidences...
  15. Exactly...Even the guys on WGR admitted as much before this whole pack mentality set in...There is no question that the best case scenario for the Buffalo Bills is to have EJ turn into the Franchise QB they Drafted him to be...Not saying he's anywhere close to that yet...But I can't imagine why any Bills fan would not hope this could be the case...Or at least hope that is the direction this whole thing is headed in eventually...
  16. Howard and Sal talking yesterday... Howard..."I don't think he's (EJ) in the running to start Saturday..." Sal... "No I mean in the season, he's not in the running to start the season..." Howard... "Oh...No...No forget it...I would not start him Saturday...No...He's not in the running to start the season..." Now...Maybe Howard and the rest of them will get a little vindication if EJ falls flat or is not the starter vs Indy...Though his assumption was that EJ's not in the running at all...Which I think he clearly is...Even if he is 3rd right now...Which no one really knows... This announcement today just proves how some of the ridiculous assumptions on WGR over that past month have indeed been a bit premature...It's like someone pointed out here yesterday...It's been a pack mentality with most of them since Mini Camp...It seemed like the minute one of them said EJ is out, and he may even be cut, the rest just jumped on that bandwagon willingly...Never giving it a second thought...I mean...It amazes me that with all these guys at WGR there's not a single one that stuck up for EJ and really backed the kid...And I'm not basing that on anything other than...What are the odds? Usually when you get 5-10 sports fanatics together you're going to get every type of opinion and everywhere there in between...But it was kind of a mob mentality there concerning EJ...And if in fact EJ does start vs Indy they are all going to look like complete and total idiots...I just don't see where they needed to handle it this way...It felt a bit like piling on to me...And again, what are the odds that all of these people so willingly agree on a subject like this? What? Were they all that afraid to disagree with Joe B while he was still there?... It just makes no sense to me at all...I swear some of the conspiracy theories I've heard make more sense than this many grown men agreeing on a sports subject...
  17. Agreed...I think this is Rex and Roman acknowledging that EJ has improved and fully understanding he has arm ability the other two do not...So this is their way of saying...OK kid...Go out there and win the job...And if not they know they are AOK with TT...Or even Cassel...Though admittedly I'm not a big Cassel guy...
  18. That's the way I thought this would go anyway... I just think EJ will continue to improve under Roman, and if the Bills really do run the ball like they want to run the ball EJ would likely get in there by mid-season...Then I would expect him to be the starter from there on because his skill set and ability to make every throw makes him potentially dynamic on a top rushing offense... That is assuming TT does not light it up like the next Russell Wilson..Either way...Win/Win...
  19. Well...Who knows... I do know this much though...If this Bills team trades a 25 year old QB with EJ's upside and he goes on to be a good QB in this league...TT and Cassel better be awfully good...I mean...really, really good...
  20. Oh man this should be interesting... I'm not going to read too much into this except the obvious fact that EJ has improved enough for them to want to see him with the 1's vs another teams 1's in an actual game...I think that's all this is...But I also like the decision...
  21. Just looked it up...The Bills were 12-4 the past two seasons at Home vs the spread...And this is a MUCH better team... Now...I'm sure somebody can come up with the underdog-at-home-winning-outright stat...But I'm guessing it's pretty good...
