Bills to workout TE Dallas Goedert - SDSU.
KOKBILLS replied to PIZ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
One of my favorite players in this Draft... Give me Mayfield and Goedert please... Oh my... -
Agreed... I forget what online scout I was listening to the other day...But what he said REALLY stuck with me about Allen because it's what I notice far too often... He basically said with these other QB's like Darnold, Rudolph, Jackson when they are inaccurate you can trace it to footwork, stride, square-up, etc...And right or wrong, it's easy to look at that and think it can be fixed..Because it is technically fixable...With Allen there are plenty of throws on tape where he does everything right and is still wildly inaccurate...And that is what is scary about him when you're talking about a potential high 1st Round pick... And this is a SMART kid...You just HAVE to wonder why...WHY he only went over 60% completions in 9 of his last 25 games...And 2 of those 9 came against Garner-Webb and Cal-Davis...I mean...If you're not concerned about this kid you're just not paying attention...Massive ceiling if he puts it all together...Bust floor...Ugh...

Mel Kiper's Nightmare Mock 3.0
KOKBILLS replied to BillsFanForever19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well...Some reports are they don't want a QB that badly...UNLESS it's Darnold... And that's why this is the nightmare scenario for the Bills... -
Combine measurements Brees - 6-0 - 213 Wilson - 5-10 5/8 - 204 Mayfield - 6-0 5/8 - 215 All were ultra-accomplished collegians...All are masterful at utilizing the pocket considering their height deficiencies... Baker and Wilson were both 70% completion guys as Sr's...Baker did it 2 years in a row... I think height matters...I REALLY do...It even matters with the special ones like Baker...But I think once he gets settled in and the Offense is built around his strengths...Like Brees and Wilson, he'll be fine... Mayfield is most definitely the guy I want for the Bills...Just love that kid...If I had to choose between Mayfield and Darnold I literally have no idea who I would take...But I'm assuming Darnold is gone...So it's Mayfield I want most...I think that dude screams Buffalo Guy...He was born to be the leader of Bills Mafia...

No...No he's not...

Josh Rosen has "Bust" written ALL over him.
KOKBILLS replied to The Bills Blog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Of the top 3 (Darnold, Rosen, Mayfield) I like Rosen the least... To be honest I might even like Jackson or Allen a little more... It's not that I don't think Rosen can be a good NFL QB...He may even be great...He's technically sound, smart...That's all good...But I really think he's a risk in a strange way...Just something about his make-up overall rubs me the wrong way...I have weird visions of a kid who is easily concussed and more than willing to walk away from football young...Not that there's anything wrong with that...Unless of course you're banking the future of your entire Franchise on him... None of my reservations about Rosen are science, scouting, numbers...So I realize fully I could be dead wrong...And if the Bills take him I certainly know they could do much worse...I won't be sad or angry for sure...But I'm hoping for Mayfield...Every bad feeling I get about Rosen, I have the opposite thoughts concerning Mayfield...And despite all the talk about the Bills and Rosen, it's Mayfield's make-up I see McD falling in love with...That kid is football and competition 24/7...I think it's a perfect match... But we'll see...A few days ago my thoughts were about the other three...Now we're possibly looking at the top three...And that's a really good thing... -
Philly deadline to get under the cap: Nick Foles
KOKBILLS replied to IgotBILLStopay's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed...It would be one thing if the Bills could land Foles on the cheap as a bridge guy...But his market value could not possibly be higher at this point... It's a hard pass for me... -
TT s a class act and I wish him nothing but the best... That being said halle-freaking-lujah!!!!

Potential replacements for Eric Wood

Groy will be the Center in 2018...I don't think there is much doubt about that... -
Eric Wood has career-ending neck injury; will retire

Terrible news... Man...All the best to Woody...One of my favs for sure... -
I am definitely not a TT supporter...Though I really do respect the guy...It's a weird relationship... I was not a Fitz fan at all...Or a Flutie fan...I did like RJ...Until I didn't... Pat Mahomes was the best QB prospect I've studied since Andrew Luck and I think he has a Brett Favre-like ceiling... I really liked DeShaun Watson too...I felt he did nothing to earn the drop in ranking from when he was widely considered the #1 overall prospect after his 1st National Championship effort vs Alabama...Then he follows it up with the win the following year and ends up going #12 overall? Never made any sense to me...I know his Jr year was not perfect...But when the lights were brightest he was amazing...I would have been thrilled with Mahomes or Watson last year...Giddy actually... I also thought EJ Manuel was a good risk, especially with a trade down, and continued to think he could eventually figure it out...Dead wrong there... I want the Bills to Draft a QB in the 1st...I'm honestly OK with any of the top 6 because I think they all have strengths, and they all are going to require some work and patience...I really like Mayfield and Darnold...And I'm higher on Rudolph then most because he's got a rare weapon with that down-the-field accuracy...I also think Rudolph is a McD kind of kid...And if I had to make a bet right now I would put my money on Rudolph being the guy...Mostly because it likely won't take a ton to get into position to get him, if a trade up is necessary at all...And I do think the Bills want and need to keep as many picks as they can...

Happy B-Day to my home away from home! I can say proudly I've been here from almost the very beginning...And it's the best site on the internet... Period...end of story!!! Thanks SDS and everyone who helps out and contributes...You're the best...

I voted for Jackson, but I actually don't mind either... In fact I look at all the top 6 guys about the same way...In REAL general terms of course...They all have abilities that could make them top 5 QB's in the league...And they all have issues that...if not addressed properly...will result in them never reaching their potential... I don't worry much about Rudolph's arm...He can make all the throws...He needs refinement...But I don't see anything in his make-up that leads me to believe he can't do it...I don't think you can overlook his career production in College...He ran a VERY potent Passing Offense and he ran it well... Jackson is so dynamic...I look at him very similarly to the way I looked at Watson last year...Not that they are the same player...because they are not...But how do you bet against that kid? I do worry a bit about his down-the-field accuracy...He was all over the place at times...But he's got the arm...And I think he'll work really hard... Give me either one at #21 and I'd be thrilled...Not saying either will work out...Just saying...
-
I don't hate him at all...I think he's got some real nice things to work with, and some things he certainly needs work on... It's been my opinion for a while now that Rudolph is the Bills guy...It's a lot of connecting dots...But I think he's the guy they want...I really do...
-
And here we go...
-
I have no idea who is going to be there yet...Way too early to tell... But I do think I know this... The Bills will LOVE Vea...I doubt he will last that long...But...Take it to the bank, they are going to love that kid... As for the QB's...I actually think it's going to be a little...a little... more simple than most feel...I think you can forget about Darnold, Rosen, and Allen...They will be gone, and even though I think the Bills will be willing to move up, I don't think they will be willing to give up what it will take to get in a spot for any of those 3...And I'm not necessarily saying those three are the best three...I am saying I think they will be the first three taken and all in the top 10...Maybe even in the top 5... The next two figure to be Mayfield and Jackson...These two will get pushed down a bit due to size and skill set...Not much mind you...But there are teams that will not take either due to factors outside of actual performance...So because Darnold, Rosen, and Allen are already going to go higher, I think both go somewhere in the 8-20 area...But either could possibly slide to the Bills at #21 if things fall right...And I think, despite some of the off-field things we've heard about Mayfield, and the knocks on Jackson, the Bills will be VERY interested both... I think there is at least a 50/50 chance (right now) the Bills can just sit where they pick and Draft Mason Rudolph...I know most folks don't grade Rudolph as high as the others...But his stock will rise...He's 6-5, threw for almost 5000 yds as a Sr, 65% completions, with a 4-1 TD/INT ratio...He's going to need some time and seasoning for sure...So the Bills would be well advised to grab a vet if TT is gone (which I expect)... If somehow...Someway...They can come out of the 1st with one of the top 6 QB's, and a top D-Lineman, I'm not sure Bills fans can ask for much more than that... So...My way-too-early guess is Rudolph and a D-Lineman in the 1st...
