Guess for best proformance as a bill next year
MDH replied to hit and marshawn's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Peters will be the best player on the Bills once again. -
If the question is who is worth the money in general, OL or WR? - the answer is OL. If the question is who should the Bills extend right now if they can only extend on contract - the answer is Evans. If the Bills extend Evans now they'll have both Evans and Peters on the roster for the next three years minimum (and they'll likely still be able to extend Peters later.) If they only extend Peters then Evans is gone after this year. I'm of the opinion that you try to keep your good players on the team while adding additional talent instead of letting your good players walk and attempting to replace them (otherwise known as walking on a treadmill.)

Try VLC media player. It works for most things that quicktime won't play. http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

Did your friend tell you about the dog's issues prior to leaving her in your care?

What excuses Bill? He didn't make a single excuse for Losman, he actually spoke almost solely about Edwards. Of course, you have yet to speak to anybody's points about Edwards and continue on your inane Losman crusade despite the fact that Losman isn't the subject of this thread.
-
Show me where in my post I am "defensive of JP"? The only one defensive of anybody is you of Edwards (and the only one being overly critical is you of JP.) Why does this always have to devolve into a debate between the two QBs? What is being discussed here are the attributes and limitations of Edwards yet you keep trying to sidetrack the conversation into JP SUCKS - EDWARDS IS BETTER! I guess you can't actually answer Bado's concerns over Edwards and instead try to shift the focus onto something else.
-
Unlike you I've never had a favorite horse in this race. I defend JP from the hordes here who want to put the blame for everything on him but that doesn't mean I don't have plenty of issues with his play. I also see some good things in Edwards but I'm not going to cross my fingers and wish upon a star that he is the Bills savior when he has obvious deficiencies in his game. And no, it is not "empty rhetoric." When NFL people talk about a QB being able to make "every throw" they mean he needs to be able to use the entire field (this is exactly what Bado was speaking about up top – go ahead and tell him he’s full of “empty rhetoric”.) Are you really going to play dumb and pretend you don't understand this? Last year Edwards could not effectively use the entire field. You can create ridiculous specific scenarios in an attempt to make a point but it just makes you look ignorant.
-
How did JP even come into the discussion here? Bado was speaking strictly about Edwards. Bado brought up several solid points that had nothing to do with JP and you didn't address any of those but instead resorted to the typical Edwards vs. JP post that we've seen a thousand times. And as for Hasselback's arm - he can make every throw needed, the same can not yet be said about Edwards. He floats the out patterns and (as Bado has stated) has way too much loft on his long ball, which wouldn't necessarily be an issue if he could mussel it down field farther too allow for the extra time it takes to get there (alla Jeff Blake). Arm strength is definitely an overrated aspect of the QB position but only if the QB can make ALL the necessary throws. We'll see if Edwards can do that this year.

Video of LIVE ALIEN to be shown in Denver tomorrow
MDH replied to /dev/null's topic in Off the Wall Archives
an actual pic Why are these things always grainy, blurry, or taken from an extreme long distance. You'd think with the proliferation of cameras these days SOMEBODY could get a clear picture. -
Interesting...Welker credits Soccer...big part of his success
MDH replied to Hardy Pyle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, Reed would be as good as Welker on NE - if he had fantastic hands, ran perfect routes and had a knack for always finding the weak part of a D. -
Uhh, I'll take the guy who scores TDs on special teams. Is this really a question?
-
I think you missed the most important thing: Hardy made the decision to pull out a gun and point it at somebody over an argument. His life wasn't in danger, there was no physical confrontation - it was an argument. Somebody with this these types of decision making skills is going to get into trouble time and again - and since he carries a gun on him there's always a chance he ends up hurting somebody seriously.

To me is seems like the "knuckleheads" who are entertaining would be the perpetual optimists. The people predicting doom and gloom have been right this entire decade…

Although I thought going CB kinda sucked, at least
MDH replied to JStranger76's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
James will not beat out McGee - and I seriously doubt Leodis will see a startinng spot this year - rookie CBs rarely step right in and are effective. Like it or not McGee will again be the #1 CB this year. If I had to guess,, I'd say Greer will be the #2CB for most of the year as well. -
Speed is only a small part of the equation on returns. McGee is fantastic with reading blocks and finding the open lane - which is why so many of his returns end up around the 40-50 yard line.

Hardy = JJ Stokes, Dwayne Jarrett, Mike Williams???
MDH replied to BenchBledsoe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why do you think he'll be a stud? Is it from personally watching him play? How many times have you seen Troy play? I'll admit, I know pretty much nothing of Leodis (did anybody before the combine?) - but in the two highlight reels I've seen of the guy I haven't seen a single instance of him in tight coverage breaking up a pass - it's all easy INTs from poorly thrown balls or ST returns. My immediate thought (which I fully admit is an uninformed one) was "did the Bills just draft the 2008 version of Ted Ginn Jr.?" Then again, I'm almost certain that this is just a case of the editors of those highlight reels selecting the most "electrifying" plays he could instead of one's that illustrate how well he plays CB. -
If the Bills would have paid Clements two years ago (before he entered the last year of his contract) it wouldn't have cost nearly so much. But the arguement then was, "we don't need a top flight CB with this D scheme." Yet here the Bills are again using a first round pick on a CB. Why not pay Nate two years ago instead of running on the treadmill?

Woman killed by stingray... while she's in a boat!
MDH replied to Fezmid's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Has nobody bothered to read the entire article? How can people not mention the last part which was the most incredible. An 82 year old man gets a foot long barb impaled into his heart...and he has recovered? Who the hell recovers from that? I guess it wasn't this guy's "time to go." -
While I think Willis will likely be better than Fletch in 2-3 years there is no way he comes in and immediately upgrades the position. MLB is a demanding position and some growing pains should be expected. Fletch was a flawed player but there is nobody who will be available via the draft (or FA) that will immediately upgrade the position. With the exodus of several vets on D people need to get more realistic about what these young players are going to bring to the table. They bring the possibility of long term stability not immediate upgrades. It's this type of thinking that leads the woe is me posters to start threads like, "Is Willis a disapointment?" after week 6.

While I definitely think the Bills need some depth at the S position(s) I don't think they'll use a day one pick to that end. A day one pick should always have the potential of moving into the starting lineup (and soon). That just isn't going to be the case with Whitner and Simpson entrenched back there. Depending on how the draft falls I see the Bills grabbing a S somewhere in the last three rounds. Day one should be be reserved for a few of the following: LBs, RB, CB, WR, OG, TE. With so many needs the Bills don't have the luxury of drafting a backup player in round 3.

Why?

I find it facinating how he/they came up with the 40 times they put at the top. Beason ran a 4.72 and a 4.79 at the combine and a 4.62 and a 4.64 at his workout. What does he put as his time up top, the average of his workout times 4.63. Pos ran a little better than Beason at the combine with a 4.70 and a 4.71. Then at his workout he ran 4.61 and 4.67 for an average of roughy the same as Beason had at his workout. What does he put up top for Pos' 40 time? The worst run Pos had, 4.71. Overall Pos ran better than Beason but you'd never know it glancing at the times posted at the top.

Yet somebody who starts a fight (which is essentially what you are doing) because somebody has a different opinion than you is raised properly? Uhh, sure. I love the idea of forcing somebody to agree with you.
