  1. Evans wasn't even targeted once tonight. Not once. Just horrible playcalling and QBing.
  2. I doubt it. I'm sure most people - myself included - were screaming at the TV to throw the ball and get within a manageable FG distance. Manageable being under 40 yards.
  3. Yep, run the ball three times into the line once you get within a 50 yard FG. I've never seen a coaching staff act like a long FG is a gimme before. Just bizarre.
  4. Or they may well be 5-7. I don't know about you but I have no clue which team is going to show up in any given week.
  5. Or your point could be that the team around the QB has a HUGE impact on if the team wins and loses. The belief that a QB can simply put a crapy team on his back and win is ridiculous. If Kelly posted those numbers on a Bills team in the past few years the Bills still don't have a winning season.
  6. The only time the line has been "half way decent" in recent years was last year. Which seasons were these mythical "half way decent" lines that you speak of? That being said anybody calling for Losman at this point needs their heads checked. You can't complain about JP getting jerked around during his career and then propose that the team does the same thing to Edwards. Sink or swim Edwards needs to be given a few seasons to see what he's got. I heard Francesca on the radio last week say something to the effect of, "you don't know how good a QB will be until he struggles. Every QB will eventually struggle and the good ones fight their way through it and emerge on the other side better for it. The bad ones sink and eventually get replaced." We'll see what kind of QB Edwards turns out to be - I have a feeling he'll be okay.
  7. If Fred Jackson is the Bills best player then the Bills have no shot at the playoffs. Just because you like the effort a player gives doesn't make him the "best" player on the team. Don't get me wrong, I like Jackson and he's a quality backup RB - but that's all he is. Without Fred Jackson the Bills are still sitting at 5-2. Take away Evans, Edwards, Stroud, Mitchell and a few others and I doubt that same statement can be made.
  8. Why does everything have to turn into a "us against them" situation on this board? I love Lynch's running style too. As you stated, he's tough as hell, punishes the D and is just a joy to watch. That being said his vision isn't the best - the guy misses holes and misses them pretty frequently. I think a lot of the Bills problems - most of them - in the running game are because of the OL. But Lynch shares some of the blame here. He need to do a better job of seeing the holes and hitting them hard.
  9. Yeah, Jason Peters is "holding the team back." Sure thing.
  10. The problem is there are "big name" QBs who will likely get in before him. Favre, Cutler, Rivers, Big Ben. Guys who the media loves or who were first round picks and therefore everybody knew their names before they played a down in the NFL. If those guys continue to play well Edwards will be on the outside looking in - even if his play says he deserves to go.
  11. Problem: A person is tired of all the Cowboys media (over)exposure. Solution: Make a thread to discuss the Cowboys.
  12. Two posts, three lines, Five exclamation points.
  13. Someone needs to put their politics aside. How anybody can dislike Oberman when he does the highlights I have no idea. I'd say the guy is the best in the buisness at highlights - just like he was 10 years ago with Patrick. I don't remember anybody bitching about Oberman back then, but now that they know his politics suddenly people hate the guy.
  14. Walker's holding was obviously Jason Peter's fault.
  15. NFL.com has the gamecast, you can follow the game there
  16. I'm assuming this was an attempt at humor?
  17. Yeap. The team that made the mistake here was KC. Obviously they overpriced Gonzalez as they had no one willing to pay the price for an aging, past his prime, TE. He would have helped the Bills but he's not worth a 2nd rounder - particularly after not being in training camp this year. He would have taken most of this year just getting used to the offense the Bills run. KC is going nowhere fast - they should have taken what they could have gotten for Gonzalez. He'll be retired before that franchise is back in the playoffs.
  18. Yeap, I said it at the time and I still belive it. Whitner had to be a game changer to be worthy of that pick. To use a pick that high on a Safety - where you can find good players on the second day of the draft - the guy has to be an amazing player. Whitner is good but if we were going to settle for "good" from that spot I'd prefer a DT. A "good" DT is much more important (and more difficult to find) than a "good" S. Safety is the easiest position to hide on the field - bar none. DT is one of the hardest. That, in and of itself, helps determine vaule. That being said I prefer a "good" Safety over a bust from another position. The problem is, the player everybody wanted there - Ngata - is far from a bust. He's one of the best young DTs in the game. As the original poster said, Whitner IS all that is right with the Bills - I love the guy. How can you not root for him. But I still would have prefered Ngata.
  19. Not to put a damper on the good news but why is Parrish feeling "sluggish" and in need or working on his endurance? He didn't have a leg injury that would prevent him from doing cardio - it was his thumb.
  20. It's okay, if he looked intense and was high-fiving his teammates someone on the board would B word about that too.
  21. Ground can cause a fumble if it's the first thing that touches the ground. Ground can't cause a fumble if the player is already down. That was a fumble.
  22. Not from the shot I saw - his knee didn't touch the ground.
  23. Why is your first thought to blame the refs instead of blaming the Bills?
  24. JP looked good in the pre-season too. It's amazing what having a real O-coordinator does for a team.
  25. Smash it up in there again. If that doesn't work do it again on 4th.
