  1. The "weak" opponents arguement just doesn't work this early in the season. Teams just haven't played enough games to know who is weak and who isn't and losing to the Bills makes their opponents records look pretty bad. Let's take a look at the teams the Bills played and what their records would be if they had BEATEN the Bills. Seattle 2-1 Jax 3-1 Raiders 2-2 Rams 1-3 So, if these teams had actually beaten the Bills their records would look pretty good with the exception of the Rams. So the reason those teams have weak records is because they lost to the Bills. But the reason the Bills are undefeated is because they're played weak opponents? Hmm, something seems amiss here.
  2. That'll teach him. Maybe next time he'll just yell "DROP IT!" really loudly instead of hitting him and trying to seperate the ball from the WR.
  3. I figure Jauron would pull out an old Hank Stram line - he'd clap (in Jauron's case, a golf clap) and say to his offense, "let's matriculate the ball downfield."
  4. It's week 4 - the polls don't mean anything until week 17 when the final BCS computer rankings decide who plays in the Super Bowl. Duh.
  5. Oh the irony of all the people in this thread calling ieatcrayonz a moron.
  6. If that "really bothered you" I'd hate be around you when something that is actually bad happens.
  7. They've played well the entire second half today, not just the 4th quarter.
  8. If they'd just bench Jason Peters the D would play much better.
  9. Well, the guy has to figure out some way of having fun while playing for the Rams.
  10. I'm sure Mort will have a report this Sunday morning stating that, “according to opponents Edwards hasn't been playing that well either.”
  11. It's the speech at the end of Revenge of the Nerds. And yes, I'm ashamed that I recognized it.
  12. I don't see anything wrong with standing up for a teammate - particularly one you think is being shafted. But I also think that should be handled internally and not through the media. A simple, "no comment" when asked the question by the media will make it abundantly clear what you think without giving off the impression that you're a malcontent. That being said I have to give Jackson credit for not giving a quote to the press behind the veil of, "a source on the team." He had something to say and he doesn’t mind being held accountable for it.
  13. They have talent at RB, WR and QB (well, they did before they benched Bulgar) but their OL is a mess and their D might be the worst in the league. Much of the Ds problem is a lack of talent as their DL gets shoved around routinely. They get a little help this week with Little coming back. It's funny that they've benched Bulgar just for the sake of "making a change." The guy certainly hasn't been the issue the first three weeks which is why you see his teammates standing up for him. It's good for the Bills though because Bulgar is a better QB than Green.
  14. That catch wasn't that great. I mean, if you get a hand on the ball you should catch it, right?
  15. One would think that squeaking out a win over the Raiders - at home no less - would teach people that there are virtually no "gimme" games in the NFL. There are only a few teams that have looked downright horrid - the Rams, Lions and Chiefs. Everybody else can beat the Bills on any given Sunday, particularly if the game is on the road. I've liked what I've seen thus far from the Bills (liked it a lot actually) but I simply can't look at their schedule (which, admittedly, appears to be pretty easy) and start chalking up wins. As they showed last Sunday, if the Bills don't come out ready to play they can get beaten around by sub-par teams.
  16. Thankfully this isn't college football where strength of schedule and writers/analyists opinions of how good a teams are matter. The Bills can only play who the NFL puts in front of them. If they win enough games they go to the playoffs no matter what the talking heads think.
  17. Pay me some cash and I'll have my wife do it. She works in the same building as the NFL offices and sees Goodell in the elevator every now and then.
  18. Deferring enables you get have the chance of getting an extra possession during the game. If the other team has the last "real" possession (not simply a kneel down to finish the half) deferring has no benefit but if your team ends up with the last possession of the 1st half then your team can get two straight possessions (as you will again get the ball to begin the second half.) Having a 50/50 shot of an extra possession each game makes deferring worth while Imo.
  19. Every team in the league will have games where they just don't play well - no matter how good they are. The biggest thing to take from this game is that the Bills found a way to win even when they played very poorly most of the game. That's what good teams do and this team is begining to look like a good team. If they make a habbit of playing games like today then I'll worry, for now I'll just enjoy the victory.
  20. Why do these types of threads even exist? In the aftermath of a huge comeback, the Patriots getting pummeled by the lowly Phins and the Bills having sole possession of 1st place for the first time in years people feel the need to make negative comments about a Bills player who didn't even play today. Just pathetic.
  21. Most of those are pretty good. Not sure the, "just not our day folks" really belongs with the rest of them though. I'm sure just about all Bills fans had a thought or two similar to that today - which is completely different than the "we totally suck!" type statements.
  22. If a Patriot player does that this board is going crazy calling them cheapshot artists. A Bill does it and people love it. Go figure.
  23. Because if they miss the 2 point conversion they're only up 8 points - which is one score. Kicking the extra point and going up 9 is the right call.
  24. It would be a mistake the fire Kiffen - his team came out and played above their heads on the road. If you fire the guy after that you're going to lose your team.
  25. Deferring is the smart move. It gives you the chance of getting an extra possession over the course of the game. It’s also a smart move in terms of momentum in my book as the D is the stronger untit of the two. Let them come out and set the tone for the Bills.
