  1. I haven't seen posts of this quality since BF left TSW.
  2. As I said, you've never seen him play.
  3. It sounds like you've never seen the guy play and you're simply going by the fact that he is currently a backup. Nobody who plays RB in the league would be starting if he was on the same team as LT. Nobody.
  4. It just can't happen the way you've outlined it. Trading the Bills first rounder next year won't get them a top 10 pick this year. A first round pick in the following year is generally considered to be equal to a 2nd round pick in the current year. With that in mind there is no way for the Bills to move into the top 10 this year without giving up their #12. They'd pretty much have to trade their entire draft this year (minus #12) plus their first rounder next year and I don't even think that would be enough.
  5. The Bills don't have to give up 2 draft picks. If they were going to sign him to an offer as an unrestricted FA they would have done so by now. If the Bills acquire Turner (of if anybody does) it will be via a trade and that trade will be for significantly less than a 1st and 3rd rounder.
  6. Let us all know what the Bills are giving up for him as I think we'd be curious to find out. As for the "unproven starter" comment, how "proven" is Patrick Willis (or any other potential draft pick) as a starter in the NFL? Tuner has proven more in the NFL than anybody in the draft. If the Bills can get Turner and hold onto the 12 spot I'd be ecstatic.
  7. Yep, if you can't write a coherent paragraph I stop reading a few sentences in.
  8. That's because the highlights only showed Young. Henry was the workhorse who moved the ball down the field. During the Titans 7 game winning streak Henry averaged 22 carries & 105 yards per game (that's 4.7 yards per carry).
  9. Actually, they've used two 1st round picks on RBs in that time span. Both Antowain Smith and McGahee were 1st round picks.
  10. There aren't that many silver linings for the Bills, let's not crap on the few positive threads there are.
  11. I think Matt phrased his optimism and skepticism pretty well. I guess your post just goes to prove that if anybody says anything that is not totally positive you'll jump down their throats.
  12. So you're saying, "wait 'till next year!" before the current year even gets to the draft? This has to be the earliest I've ever seen a "wait 'till next year" uttered. Nicely done!
  13. It's so in vogue to hate Kelly Holcomb now after an article in which he said...umm, well nothing really. I hated him when he was throwing checkdown after checkdown for the Bills. Now that he's not on the Bills I really don't mind the guy at all. In fact, if I get to see him play next year I'll have a totally different reaction. Instead of being irrate while watching him I'll likely be laughing.
  14. If a guy destroys his knee in his first pre-season game I don't think that qualifies as a bust. Injuries can't play a part.
  15. If Marv hadn't promised Clements he wouldn't tag him again he'd likely still be here playing (or the Bills could have gotten a draft pick in return for him).
  16. I guess that makes me the ultimate loser fan. 3 of the top 4 all time worst franchises I call my favorite team in their respective sport (granted, I haven't followed hockey in 7 years).
  17. The athletes are just as loyal to the teams as the teams are to the athletes...that is to say, they are loyal only if the other can do something for them.
  18. It's worse than that. Ten years ago (or so) the Phillies had a "family day" at the park in which the players brought their families and played a game of baseball. During introductions the fans booed Darren Daulton's two year old son because Daulton was in the middle of a slump. Classy fans.
  19. Kelly would have never been drafted in the first place is that was a consideration. You draft the guys you like and hope they are mature enough to find a place for themselves in the city.
  20. How has this thread gotten to page two with no mention of Tony Mandarich?
  21. I betcha Marv never gets the deal done if that's what he's offering.
  22. It really all depends on Spikes and his ability to recover. If he doesn't recover the Eagles were the ones robbed. If he does, it was the Bills. Holcomb is a pathetic excuse for a QB and adds no value to the Philly side of the trade.
  23. I'd prefer if they just got rid of the third man in the booth.
  24. I guess Theisman got PWNED!
  25. Does it count if you tarp off thousands of seats like Jax does?
