  1. Watching the game tonight the Pats are just chewing up the Ravens D. If I had to guess I'd say the Bills are going to have to put up 28+ points next week to have a chance at winning. That's going to be a tall order without Jackson or Spiller.
  2. The funny thing is it's like these posters only watch the hi-lights where every pass is completed. Watching tonight Brady has had plenty of bad throws - every QB does in every game. It's the nature of the position and of being human. If Fitz does it then goes on to throw 3 TDs everybody points out his ducks - it's mind boggling. Fitz is never going to morph into an elite QB but when he's not in "Bad Fitz" mode throwing picks left and right he does a solid job and definitely good enough for the Bills to win. Jim Kelly... I'm sure he never threw a few ducks during a game...
  3. Nice post, though I have to disagree about Williams being very good and Gilmore being horrible. Williams was beaten on quite a few of those plays that he defended, it was only the under-throws by Weeden that allowed him to make a play at all. Good job making the play but a few good throws and he's toasted for at least 2 TDs. Also, other than the horrible job on the TD he allowed I didn't notice Gilmore getting toasted at all. In fact, I don't remember seeing him around the ball much after a reception - which is a good thing. Overall I'm fairly happy with the CB play considering the Bills two starting CBs have a combined total of 15 games played after today. It's a tough position to transition to and while they've made plenty of mistakes, I'm encouraged by what I've seen.
  4. I won't defend Vick but yeah, Pitsburgh has had plenty of good Olines. Just because BigBen holds the ball forever and takes some hits doesn't mean his line isn't doing their job - Ben just needs to learn when to get rid of the ball.
  5. Explain to me how the ball ended up 6 yards in front of fitz if it wasn't propelled by his arm moving forward? What moved the ball forward?
  6. 4 sacks and 2 INTs
  7. Much easier to get sacks while leading and the other team is forced to throw in obvious passing situations.
  8. Statistically yeah, they have a decent shot at getting the first down. But the pros of making it don't outweigh the cons of not making it. Make it and the game is pretty much over. Punt the ball and prevent Cribbs from returning it for a TD and the game is pretty much over. The only way the game isn't over is if they don't make the first down when they go for it or it they allow a big return. There's a greater chance that the Bills fail to make the first down than of Cribbs returning it for a TD - hence you punt the ball.
  9. Gilmore is three games into his rookie season at one of the most difficult positions to transition into. I think he's done a fine job.
  10. Makes no sense to go for it ahead by 2 scores. As long as Cribbs doesn't return it for a TD there's no way they score twice with no timeouts left.
  11. Trying to keep it away from Cribbs.
  12. Ugh, might as well have gone for it with that punt and that dumb a$$ penalty.
  13. And - more importantly - two time outs. It's a two score game the Bills D (or ST) will have to give up a few big plays to lose this.
  14. With a 10 point lead and 6 minutes left I'll settle for running the ball 3 times a.nd punting. No turnovers and no clock stoppages is all i ask
  15. 8 TDs in three games - he's not great/elite but maybe people expect too much out of the QB if that's not good enough?
  16. Every time they send a 5th guy Weeden rushes his throw and it's incomplete yet they rarely bring extra guys and 4 ain't getting the job done. Edit: right as I post this they get a sack...
  17. Bills up by 10 - I'll take it.
  18. I liked the smash mouth football on that drive...
  19. Fitz isn't great but most QBs need playmakers around them to be effective. The Bills have 3 guys on offense that can make things happen - two of them are now out. Not many QBs are going to look great in that situation.
  20. Spiller injury just took the wind out of the Bills sails. Everything gone wrong since.
  21. 5"11 200lbs isn't big for an NFL running back - it's on the small side.
  22. How was the ball thrown forward if it didn't slip out as his hand started moving forward?
  23. Fitz, don't lower your damn head to take on defenders!
  24. It didn't look like the impact of him falling awkwardly on wet sod would be enough to break the collarbone. My guess is the shoulder.
  25. Fitz looking good today.
