Yeah, i want the smallest RB on the roster - one who likes to jitter-bug in the backfield - getting the ball at the goal line. -

Actually only 2 more called pass plays than run plays - it just feels like they're calling pass plays all day because they're so ineffective. -

Stevie is open consistently and Fitz just can't get him the ball. -

Zona doesn't have the O to do that. This game will be close at the end. Hopefully the Bills' O can get their head out of their a*$. Otherwise they'll need a D or ST score. -

If you're not going to actually try to get some points just kneel it down. Too many bad things can happen otherwise. -

NS, it's not a coincidence the one TD drive they've had was with Fred hitting 4 and 6 yard gains constantly. Spiller is a good back but I have no clue what's up with some of these fans ripping on Jackson. It's like they're not happy unless they're trying to cause some controversy. -
The guys who fall through the cracks are the ones who coaches haven't heard or seen a lot about - guys like Kurt Warner. Guys like Fred Jackson. Guys who were underrated or who were drafted late but blossomed. Guys like VY people swoon over out of college and they get drafted really high. Highly rated QBs coming out of college don't slip though the cracks. Every coach in the league is dreaming of one of these guys on their roster and being their QB for 10 years. The fact that VY isn't tells you everything you need to know about Young's game. I can't think of a single 1st round selection at the QB position who bounced around the league for years and then turned it around and became a franchise QB. Alex Smith comes the closest to that but he never bounced around the league, his team kept him because they obviously saw something they liked.
-
That athlete and playmaker - what team does he play for now? I'm not a big fan of this O but for you to keep brining up VY is ridiculous. He's so talented and amazing that he's not even in the league anymore.

Hell, that link makes her look cute. Other pics I've seen of her make her look much better. http://www.dailycamera.com/news/boulder/ci_21391023/boulder-da-zoey-ripple-continue-plea-talks-home?source=pkg -
I never saw this coming regarding Dareus's play....

I'm curious what they had him rated last year when everybody was singing his praises. He didn't just suddenly start sucking. Two things are different - 1) he's dealing with the death of his brother (i.e. his heart might not be into playing atm and I wouldn't blame him) and 2) New defensive scheme and coordinator. I'd imagine it's a combination of the two. The guy is a talent and if he wants to be good he will be good. My guess is he turns it around at some point this season, I just hope it's not too late. -
After the SF game I said to myself, "self, we're done watching the Bills this season, you have better things to do with your time." Of course, now that Sunday is approaching I suddenly find myself hoping it rains so I can at least use that as an excuse as to why I'm still watching this dreadful franchise because I will be no matter what. Sigh.

While true, what you guys are forgetting is that the opposite is also true. If the D would do its job and shorten the field it would help the O score more points...
-
With a good QB maybe we could get in WAC style shootouts and win games 56-52!

I never, ever, ever thought I'd say this, but right now it's actually true: I miss George Edwards.

Hot For Guidance Counselor -- Big Apple(s) edition
MDH replied to KD in CA's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Simulated sex acts? Where did you see/read that? I've seen photos at the mall in store windows that are more revealing than that. I've seen bikinis on beaches that are more revealing too. I guess teachers/guidance councilors should all be puritans who cover themselves from head to toe. -

Yeah, but it's going to take him over 2 hours to get to 120k feet so the actual jump won't be until around 4pm. -

I was just reading about this. Freefall of just over 22 miles and should be the first man to break the sound barrier without the use of a vehicle. Just crazy. -
Let's summarize: Jackson was told he'd never make it in the NFL, played around the world trying to improve his game and ended up - though hard work and determination alone - being one of the best, if not the best, all around back in the league. He can do it all, pick up blitzes, find small holes, make guys miss, plow through guys, catch the ball - and he does it all at a high level. He's fought off 1st round RB challenges his entire NFL career and come out on top each and every time. The entire team says Fred Jackson is the heart and sole of the team and if there's any player on the Bills I'd tell my son to look to as a role model, he'd be the guy. FJ is everything I admire in a player. He's the exact type of guy I root for and my mouth is agape that there are people out there how "hate" a player like this. To top is off let's look at the last game. Injured Fred Jackson with knee brace still on - 3.2 ypc vs. Niners Injured Spiller who has 2 perfectly good legs - 3.4 ypc vs. Niners How can you single out Jackson and say he sucks now? Neither guy is doing much behind this beat up OL.

The funniest thing about what we've seen from the D recently is that its a scheme that's built to not give up the big play. Very little blitzing, drop 7 guys back into coverage and make sure you make a tackle in front of you for a minimal gain. It's not Dungy's cover 2, but it's not too far off. Of course, as we all know, the Bills give up big plays over and over again. Guys running free in the secondary, behind the secondary, blown tackles, etc. The Niners had to have at least 12 plays of 20+ yards yesterday. So if you're giving up the big play anyway, you might as well f'in blitz some and at least try to pressure the QB into mistakes. Make him make quick decisions under duress, that's how turnovers happen. Because right now you're getting the worse of both worlds - no pressure and guys getting behind your secondary for giant chunks of yardage.

Vegas isn't disagreeing with people here. They're looking at records. All teams with a worse record than the Bills have worse odds (Chiefs, Browns, Titans, Jags and Raiders). The only team with an equal or better record than the Bills right now who has worse odds is the team that finished with the worst record in football last year (Colts.) I fail to see the point being made.
